This is a new place from the owner of Tokyo Ramen downtown on Parliament St. I ordered the Shio Tonkatsu ramen plus and it was delicious! The broth was very flavourful without it being too salty or rich. The pork was also tasty and tender, and came in a generous portion. I also ordered a Tonkatsu which was good as well, especially the sauce though ramen is their primary specialty. The owner was there and was incredibly kind and friendly. He helped me with transporting the food tray and my stroller, and provided extra bowls and utensils for my toddler. You can tell he takes great pride in his food and establishment. Prices are fair. This is a local business that you can feel good supporting. Highly recommended.
This restaurant has one of the most authentic pork bone soup which is only in southern part of South Korea. He also brought the real Korean style cheese donkatsu here for a very generous price in my opinion. Great place to try real Korean food!
Menkatsu offers sit-down restaurant quality meals in a food court setting! Run by the same owner of Tokyo ramen in Cabbagetown. We got the shio tonkotsu ramen, which was delicious; the broth was perfect flavourful but not too salty, and the pork and egg were delicious. We also got the fish katsu, but it was only okay, so I'd like to try the tonkatsu next time. The chef/owner was very friendly and helpful; when he saw that we had young children with us, he helped with our trays and also got us extra bowls and utensils for the kids to share our meal. That kind of extra touch is what sets establishments apart from others. It's also definitely not expected at a food court! A really great addition to the Shops on Yonge food court, which is also clean, quiet, and comfortable to eat at.
I like coming to this foodcourt. It reminds me of Korean shopping mall foodcourt in Seoul. It was first time for me to try this place after changed from previous one that used to sell hwe deop bap. We got a ramen and pork soup. Ramen soup seems to have pork soup base so it had very strong yummy soup but little too thick I thought but it was good. The pork soup comes with salt and dadegi to spice up the soup but it tasted something was little missing or may not contains MSG much. It was not bad.
Hidden gem inside a tucked away food court. Great quality ramen, tonkatsu, and other Korean dishes. Price is very good for the what you get. Can't recommend enough!Food: 5/5
Great foods. We tried soicy reman and donkatsu. They were fresh. Donkatsu was soft and crispy. Prices are affordable.
The BEST Ramen Place EVER!! I fell in love with this place in first sip of ramen! I can’t go to other ramen restaurants after taste this place.
Their pork bone soup is very authentic, and it tastes so good. The price was also very good for the value. I can tell why the owner was so proud of their food. I highly recommend this place, and will visit again.
Pretty good ramen at reasonable prices! Ramen broth was good and chashu was perfect
I’ve visited this place two weeks ago, and was very satisfied with their quality of the food. Then I visited this place once again yesterday hoping for the same quality, but it turned out to be a nightmare. First off, their ramen noodles were undercooked and were stuck together. The broth was so blend, it felt like something was missing. My gf had donkatsu and it was so dry and over cooked. You can see it by the color. We get it, it’s food court and some might ask what the big deal is, but atleast show some passion into your food. It was a horrible experience and I will not visit this place ever again.
