Mendota County Park

Nice little park with camping however during the season it seems to be mostly sold out. Cool place to park an RV if you are travelling to the Madison area. A quick drive or Uber to downtown - or a not terribly bad bike if that's your thing. Also has a place to get picked up if a friend has a boat! ⛵

Nice shlelter with a grill and abundant seating. Nice lake view and sand area. The park has RV parking area and boats launch pad as well.

30 basic electrical sites, easy​ maneuvering of our 34 foot 5th wheel. There were several large class A's that appeared to traveling/passing through. Fresh water is available at the dump station which is very well done and easy to access. Showers were free abd quite clean. Several staff were younger, either high school or college aged and did a great job cleaning/mowing, etc. Great boat access with overnight electrical mooring sites. Good fishing. Swimming area was small with lots of weeds, and the only negative we could think of. Stayed there 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Campground hosts George and his wife were friendly and very helpful.

Lovely little beach. Great place for picnics or grilling. Bathrooms are clean, showers here too.

No pier at the boat launch. Nice park facilities.
