Lake Farm Campground

We booked for over Christmas at lake farm, we were staying in kingfisher lodge. The owners were very accommodating regarding my disabled mother who was coming for Christmas Day. We had spoken to the owners before to make sure there was access to the lodge and they assured us there would be a ramp which there was. The lodge is very nice with its back to one of the smaller lakes, it had three bedrooms, a double bedroom, a twin and a triple. A shower room and open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The lodge is heated by electric central heating and there is a electrical meter that takes £1 coins so make sure you stock up before visiting. You have a electric oven and gas hob. The owners were very pleasant and helpful and as there are only a few lodges it is like a little community. Access to to the lakes is by an electric gate then down a short track to the lodges.

Another fab week at Lake Farm -thank you Julie and Alfie. On the days we fished we had good sport and caught plenty. We were lucky enough to walk the Shetland ponies - a great experience. We love the peaceful surroundings it’s such a great place for a chill out. We look forward to our next visit.

Great base for visiting all the surrounding attractions. Lovely parkland and good fishing loads of catches for all kinds of fishing carp trench plus more. Good all rounder for families couples or guys just wanting to fish.

Just got home from the most peaceful place I have visited for a very long time. Only been home a few hours and already miss the peace and quiet. Cabin was lovely and clean as well as the area around it. Hubby caught loads of fish made him a very happy man - note to all anglers take luncheon meat and 8mm halibut pellets. Lots of nice places to eat nearby. Cannot fault this place at all will definitely be back next year

We recently stayed here and absolutely loved it, we stayed in lake view lodge and it was a fantastic little lodge very cosy with great view of the lake. It was so relaxing and very peaceful just what me and my partner needed. I caught plenty of fish and they were very good condition and fought well for their size. We will be definitely be booking up again next year this time for longer though as we enjoyed every minute of and really did not want leave.

Lake farm is a very relaxing holiday park. The lodges have everything included ie showers kitchen. They have cabins of 2 to 8 berth. They have eight fishing lakes as well.

We stayed at lake farm lodges for a long weekend from the 25th - 28th March and I would definitely recommend for a relaxing break, the lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host Harry is very approachable and helpful, the lake bailiff is very knowledgeable regarding what baits work best we caught Carp, Rudd and Roach, the large lake is teeming with very healthy fish. The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and tranquil. We will definitely return to this little gem. Thank you to all at Lake farm for a wonderful well needed break. Kathy & Ken

My friends and I have been coming here for 7 years,and it gets better every time. The fish are bigger than ever and Alfie and Julie have done a lot of work during COVID-19. Love it.

Absolutely brilliant accommodation, first class site, very friendly staff, very clean and tidy grounds, great fishing, easy access.

Fantastic accommodation. Ideal if you fish but just as lovely if you don't. Wonderful peaceful place for a restful holiday. Self catering but lovely places nearby if you don't want to cook. Also has a hot tub for an extra charge.
