A hidden gem. The food is prepared fresh and flavourful. Authentic tastes without having to fly to the Far East. A mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai favourites in a multi-page menu. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is so good we also had a take-out order after the dinner. Reasonable priced and guaranteed you will not leave hungry. Thank you
Excellent portions for the price. Excellent service. Wish they had sticky rice unsweetened available but that will not stop me and the family from revisiting this restaurant again soon. A note to the management: Keep up the great work & we will see y’all sometime real soon!
Overall good taste and price of the food. The shrimp rolls were fresh, simple and delicious as expected. The pad Thai was yummy too, and the rest of our order was well served. I would say that this restaurant is a but too authentic for me in terms of flavors but my husband absolutely loved every single item we ordered.
Tried this place for the first time, loved that it had both Thai and Vietnamese dishes. We got pho and Thai red curry. Both were really good, the pho being AMAZING, definitely coming back for it. The quantities were very large and the pricing was very reasonable. The crispy spring rolls were also great, along with the service. The only thing I’d skip out on is the mango sticky rice, it’s not mango season so that I understand but it had too many sesame seeds it was all I could taste and not enough condensed milk/coconut milk for sweetness. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Stumbled upon this place looking for something to eat. For the prices of the dishes, they deliver some great portions and incredible flavours that would be priced higher than anywhere else. Service was impeccable. Definitely coming back to share this amazing place with others!
This place is amazing! Exceptional customer service. The rare beef pho was delicious and the meat to noodle ratio was perfect. You can tell the fresh spring rolls were made with quality ingredients. The price is also very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Definitely recommend it.
The food was good but not the best…. We ordered stir fry which was quite bland but pad Thai was awesome. Overall it was nice experience going there. Sitting arrangement is good.Portion size wasn’t bad
This was the highest rated Vietnamese restaurant in the area and open on Jan 1, 2023 so a friend and I trudged down to the eatery. I was in the mood for some Tom Kha Gai but this place doesn’t offer that. I was instead suggested Thai curries but that’s not what I wanted so had to opt for Pho Gai. We also ordered mango salad, veg spring rolls, curry Pad Thai veg + tofu, bok Chou in ginger + garlic sauce, mango milkshake and Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. With the order, we were initially given chilli sauce and hoisin sauce. Mango salad was great and the portion wholesome. Bok Choy was good as well but could have had better flavour. Veg spring rolls were disappointing as was the pad thai and the chicken pho. It just lacked flavour - had to spice it up with the available sauces. At most of the Vietnamese restaurants I have been before this and I have been to many, chilli oil is considered a standard supplement. When requested, I got a very small serving which was funny in a miniature plate but it tasted okay. Of the two staff that attended to us one male and one female, the chap was definitely more welcoming. The milkshake was good but it needed more milk and the mango was fairly sour. The coffee was great! Overall, food is generally palatable but this place doesn’t get more than 3 stars from me. Will I revisit? No.
First time in Mekong River, will definitely be my favourite go to. We ordered Chicken Tom Yum Soup and shrimp rice noodle soup in spicy chicken broth. We enjoyed every bite. Definitely recommended.Recommended dishesSoup
Years ago a former colleague introduced me to the Pad Woon Sen at Mekong River Restaurant and it’s been one of my favourites ever since. The Fresh Rolls my version of a salad wasn’t bad either . If you Asian food, give them a try!
