Carta Magica Montreal

It's a really nice store with everything from Warhammer to Yu-Gi-Oh to board games. Cool selection of items as well as TCG singles. My only gripe was that the singles were way overpriced and when I brought that to thier attention was told that some cards are just too good to sell for cheaper. That's my first time seeing a local card shop that's proud of price gouging. Other than that it was a nice place.

Great service. Went for Magic cards, the person there was really knowledgeable and quickly found what I was looking for. They have a really good selection of board games, a giant Role Playing book section and some war games material. Been going there for many years and the staff is always nice and there to help. Online ordering can be picked up in store, which is nice.

I recently made two orders of TCG singles from them almost two weeks back. Both orders came in a week later, but when I checked the cards, there was one missing. I emailed them and inquired about the missing card but have not heard back from them since. Will adjust the rating if/when I get a response. Edit: Issue resolved with their team!

Pretty small amount of product, some Pokemon plush, board games, and a few LEGO pieces on the counter, has a fair amount of Yu-gi-oh cards.

Love this place for yugioh tcg related purchases. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and polite. Alex helped me find everything I needed in seconds even really niche choices and was super friendly and encouraged me to play in the local tournaments they hold in the store! During my second ever visit, Joey helped me find anything I needed and helped explain the state of the ever changing game of yugioh and provided excellent advice and was so welcoming and accommodating it was unbelievable. I've been raving about this place to my coworkers and friends that are into card games and memorabilia non stop!

Very happy with my first experience here, I haven't played yugioh for many years and decided to go and check out with some friends. Got in and the place is super nice asked one of the staff about yugioh and he took his time with me and my friends to fully explain everything that's new. Pretty crazy but yea I never really leave comments but once I saw there rating I went out of my way to leave this message for you guys!! So yea thats my opinion enjoy!

Would not help me with single cards because of "renovations". I offered to help as there was no customers, but to no avail. Simply refused to help me, said to order online it'll be the next day. Unfortunate since I had a great experience at the Ottawa store and took the trip to Montreal just for their single pokemon card inventory. So I went to EXPEDITION, just down the street. Great service at EXPEDITION.

The store is nice and there is a good selection of products, but the pokemon cards are overpriced compared to other card stores in Montreal. Their pokemon products are around 20-30% more expensive compared to stores such as gameskeeper or face to face. No reason to shop here for cards unless it is really your only option.

I recently bought pokemon cards from here and when they arrived, I noticed all my near mint cards were no where close to near mint, they had dents at the top and significant whitening all around. I contacted their customer service and provided pictures of the cards and the damage and they didn't even look at all the pictures. They looked at the one card with the least amount of wear and said that they could only give me $6 back because that type of wear is normal. They completely ignored the other pictures of the more damaged cards and now I'm waiting to see what they will say because I told them to look at the other pictures and you're going to have to do way better than $6 or I definitely will be doing my business elsewhere. *Update* they looked at the rest of the pictures and partially refunded me for the cards. Though I still disagree with their evaluations of the cards at least they did do better customer service than initially

I was visiting Canada from Ireland and played in the Yu-Gi-Oh locals and these guys made me feel so welcome! Awesome bunch of guys and so kind. Thank you for the mat I will rep it over here in Ireland as a momento!
