I followed Dr. Leah to this new location because she is hands-down the calmest and best vet I’ve been to. Robbie, my cat, is not a gentleman usually with strangers and/or people who are not me, and other vets have handled him poorly, adding even more stress to the visit. I never feel anything is done unnecessarily and the bill is itemized. Pricing seems fair. Robbie just had dental surgery and you wouldn’t even know it. That’s how gentle and effective Dr. Leah and her team is. Thanks for being there for Robbie and me :
I took my cat to Riverwood after he had been misdiagnosed at my regular vet. They quickly found that he had cancer and put him on the appropriate medication. This was understandably a tough time and both Doctors that I saw were so incredibly caring and compassionate, as if he was their own cat. He unfortunately passed away recently but I am forever grateful for the care that Riverwood showed him during his last few months.
My wife took our new kitten Tofu for a general checkup and rabies vaccine. Dr Leah is great. Glad to be in the meadowbrook family. Thank you Karen too! :
Dr. Montgomery is wonderful and gives excellent advice. She is very knowledgeable and takes not only the health of the pet in to account, but also the family that supports the pet. We have been with her for many years and we cannot thank her enough for her kindness, empathy and devotion to our pets. Our family trusts her implicitly and her staff are always kind. We also love that we get email reminders and can check our pets profile online for the various vaccines etc.
I am so happy to have a cat specific vet in the neighborhood! Makes a huge difference for my kitty to be in a calm and quiet waiting room with no dogs. The staff are kind and gentle with my cat. They've been very helpful in managing some of his anxiety as well.
Awesome place to bring your cat!! Staff is wonderful. My cat felt very comfortable. I needed to bring my cat in for her yearly checkup and teeth cleaning. Thought there may be something wrong with my cat too. Sure enough she had a bladder infection. So, Dr Leah started her on medication. She unfortunatly had a bad reaction to something?!? Couldn't figure it out since she had had detal done at the same time. She was given pain med's plus the medication for the urinary infection. It was a long 2 weeks of worring about my cat. Dr Leah made sure she got better! She was excellent with Annabelle. Really caring. My cat doesn't like anyone but me as they usually do. Loved Dr. Leah. Would strongly recommend this establishement to anyone with a cats.
I am truly of mixed opinion about the service received at this vet. When we took our cat to the original location we felt very confident of following to the new office. After a visit during their mid move, they apparently they had an ear mite problem. When we took him to the new facility because of the issue, firstly, it seemed like an assembly line, separate entrances and a lot of people "working" and we had to meet with a different vet. They didn't notice mites at first new lab tech, had to double check vet we'll give him a dose of medication just in case, charging than going oops, no charge, yes we did have a problem and we found eggs. We monitored our cat as told and it seemed to get better. What they neglected to mention is that we should have taken him in again to get another dose or two based on the egg gestation. Fast to today, to a new vet. Serious ear mite problem, now needs drops and has an infection. We have been given the necessary medication to ensure the mite problem has been eradicated plus a lovely new bill. Our fur baby is inside only, no contact with other cats. The additional 5 months and improper information has put him in a compromised situation and as a first time pet owner, disappointed with the information and assistance provided from the new facility. *our cat had ear mites as a kitten with serious nerve damage and didn't notice any significant change until the last month.
