Maynard Lake Lodge is a true gem. Our fishing was awesome, the guides were awesome, and the food and service were better than awesome!nI have been fortunate enough to have gone to many lodges in my life, and the food and service, from the shore lunches to our breakfasts and dinners at this resort, were truly the best I've ever experienced. And, the fishing was great! It is the only lodge on the lake, and it is catch and release, except for the walleyes we ate at shore lunch, so it is a fishing paradise for trophy walleyes, pike, muskie and bass.nThe owners Kayla and Josh have instilled a great culture at Maynard Lake Lodge. It is evident by how they, and all of their employees, make their guests feel valued and welcomed, how they pay great attention to detail, and their staff's genuine warmth, which creates an ultimate sense of hospitality and comfort. Me and my group cannot wait to go back next year. Thank you, Josh and Kayla, for the extraordinary experience!nJimmy Pesis
Stayed here for 4 days and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. The staff was absolutely amazing from the owners to the guides and everyone else. All were so nice and helpful with everything. From them bringing coffee to the cabin before breakfast and all the way to dinner, the food was absolutely amazing.nnWe had Matt as our guide and he was great. He showed us some amazing spots and got to catch a lot of great big fish. He was so friendly and was fun to hang out with the entire trip on the boat. He played music from his speaker for us and we all just had a great time together. Will definitely be requesting him from now on.nnThis place really makes guest feel right at home and they do an amazing job. I definitely did not want to leave at all, but I will definitely be back.
Josh and his team are amazing. The service and food are second to none. We had many guides who kept us on the fish and took care of us. James specifically took care of us all week and kept us on the fish. More importantly he was friendly and always willing to help. Maynard Lake Lodge did not disappoint.
All I can say is WOW, what a special place Maynard Lake Lodge is. From the dock greeting by the entire team at the plane when we landed, everything was incredible the entire trip. The entire Maynard staff were the most attentive and friendly people that I have ever met. The guides we fished with were incredibly knowledgeable and fun to fish with. And, they got us into both huge quantities and huge quality of walleye, smallmouth bass, and Northern Pike. The food, some of the best I've eaten, and huge portions! Probably the biggest surprise of the trip was the bed in our awesome cabin. It was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Josh and Kayla are amazing hosts, and I absolutely recommend Maynard Lake Lodge for anyone looking for a perfect Canada Fishing Trip!
I have been fishing in Ontario for over 20 years and tried several lodges in the area but rarely returned to any lodge more than a couple of times until we found Maynard Lake Lodge. Josh and Kayla do a fantastic job and run a great fishing camp. Every year we see new improvements that make it a great place to stay. The remote fishing lodge has unforgettable views and the lake is well stocked with walleye, pike, bass and a few muskie. The food is fantastic and plentiful with shore lunch being a highlight. The shore lunch is different from any other lodge; all boats and guides congregate in one spot on the lake and they serve a gourmet lunch that is the best shore lunch we have ever had. The guides and staff are great, knowledgeable, and eager to help you have a great time. I’d recommend the lodge to anyone for a great fishing experience.nArt Herbstman
