Overall our experience was excellent. The prime rib was out of this world, the wine was delicious and priced right for a good bottle and the service was phenomenal! Our only complaint would be that I had the main course Veal and found the sauce to be bland and the coating to be doughy...if the matterson house can fine tune this dish they will be golden. Thanks for a great experience overall, we will certainly be back! Happy new year 🎉🥂

• We Called Ahead 2 Make A Reservation • The Wife and I Started With The Oysters As An Apply. We Both Ordered The Straw / Hay (Veal / Mushroom Pasta) and I Had The Kelp Stout Beer From The TOFINO Brewery. The Place Was Busy, The Food, Atmosphere and Service Was Top Notch. The Owner Has Converted Her House Into A Restaurant. We Will B Stopping By Here On Our Next Visit 2 Ucluelet.

Never have I felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. We walked in and were told by the server that there would be a 30 minute wait. Immediately after being told that, 3 tables of customers left but we were told in a very rude manner that she was too busy to serve us for 30 mins. Realizing she was clearly overwhelmed, we offered to sit and wait but the server discouraged us again from staying. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered so left. Management should put more emphasis on customer service. I definitely would not recommend this place.

The foods are super delicious with good portions. We had the straw and hay pasta and ocean away pasta. It's highly recommended! Definitely will come back again!

We have been to the Matterson twice now, both times were very good. The food is nice and fresh, the hostess was on the mark, and we left too full. We will eat here next time we are in Ukee, for sure!
