This is the authentic Nanjing style food I've been looking for! Reminds me of buns from Jingling Restaurant, a famous five star restaurant in Nanjing, when I was little. The shaomai, thank goodness, is not Cantonese style at all. I was tired of restaurants claiming to be from Nanjing / Shanghai area but turned out to be Cantonese... Came to Toronto for a concert, meant to go to another restaurant and ran into this one unexpectedly. The lady working there was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Jinling Daroubao or anyone who wants to try something authentic. I will bring a big cooling bag next time I come to Toronto and load it full!
Nice little cute sport for take out. A newly opened on Yonge street in the heart of Loren town. Very clean. Be aware this is not the traditional , instead of meat or shrimp or veg filling it is filled with flavoured rice, a lot of rice. We got egg yolks and pork, it was ok. It is Huge kind of like have a bowel of rice wrapped, it is not bad but it is not really . This is the only prefer we tried so maybe other items on the menu is good if I get try again I will update this.
Meat moon cakes taste so good. The shaomai need a bit more flavour I feel, could just be my batch I bought. The size is very big.
We ordered a takeout today and were surprised by the size of ShaoMai. It tasted really good and was very similar to the ones I used to eat in my hometown.
Place is filled with positive vibes ....seems they have some "Magical Receipe" - there is no other explanation for the taste, flavors and soul satisfying food they are serving... The team is so " Energetic " and seems to really enjoy cooking/ baking and giving people the magical experience Thank you and God Bless!
Shaomai and pork buns are very true in taste to what I used to eat in Nanjing. The buns are huge, justifying the price tag. I will make sure to go back lots so this little gem never goes out of business!
The shaomai were really good and bigger than expected, will definitely come back to get these again and to try their zongzi and moon cakes
Amazing Shao mao with salted egg yolk. Their meat moon cake is also a must try. Their bao is also really juicy to the point where I would avoid eating in car cause it’ll really make a mess!! Didn’t try any other items but loved all those 3 mentioned above
I always order the pork mooncakes from here. They’re delicious and the staff are very friendly! Great prices as well.
Such great-tasting bao, and great price for how big they are! I'll definitely be back to try more.Recommended dishesPork Bun
