Amazing !! Have walked by this place many times but this time I finally went in! We tried the cheeseburger bun, pizza bun, and the herb&cheese bun, all of which were fantastic and for me, 2 buns were really filling. I’m definitely coming back to try the other buns. The bun had a slight sweetness to it and was so delicious, as well as everything also tasting fresh. The owner is also very kind and so friendly :
Came here on a chilly Friday afternoon, to finally try Bunhaus. I've seen it in passing a couple times The lady Sofia at the counter was very nice and helpful when choosing what to get. I ended up getting the cheeseburger bun and the Tuscan white bean and kale soup. The cheeseburger bun had a nice and soft bun that was subtly sweet with a tasty filling. I just hope that there were more filling, since there was a lot of bread before getting to the filling. But it was tasty so I'd love to try the other flavors some time. The Tuscan soup I got was filled with ingredients, and it was tasty like Sofia mentioned. The only downside was the portion: it was much smaller than I expected, especially for the price $12.50+tax.
Tried the chimney dog, butter chicken its more like curry chicken, but still very tasty, and bun royal. All were soft, flaky, and delicious. Bun royal was hefty but the Chimney dog was my favorite. Will definitely be back to try all the others.
Freshly baked buns handmade by the owner! Love their Musubun, pizza bun and their new creation Chimney dogs as well! Try them hot!! Owner is super friendly and passionate! They're located in the Flip Kitchens plaza
Such a different type of bun / burger but just works so well with a fresh idea! It’s like a cheeseburger wrapped inside a bun! Such a simple idea but executed so well! Every bite was just amazing! And for dessert, definitely have to try the cereal milk doughnuts! Whatever crushed cereal flavour is for the week covered in the cereal milk doughnut! This is made fresh and that first bite will definitely get you hooked! Service, truly awesome! My first time here and I believe it was the owner who explained everything from the buns to the treats! As an FYI, bunhaus is located inside a food hall on Yonge st north york called flip kitchens. Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
Bunhaus made my tummy a funhouse! Been here couple of times now and I love it. Everything starts with the bun. Soft and chewy and slightly sweet, they are piping hot pillows of heaven as they come out of the Bunhaus oven. Who needs fillings when you have buns that good? Luckily though, Branko the owner doesn't seem to think this way as he's come up with all sorts of interesting stuffings. I've tried the cheeseburgerbun, pizzabun, musubun spam, egg, nori, and chimneydog, and all of them were tasty. I also tried the pineapple coconut milkshake, and it made me feel like I was in the tropics - yum! It's amazing how gems sometimes come in the rounded form of a simple bun. Big fan here of Bunhaus, and would definitely recommend you try it out.
Bunhaus specializes in European handcrafted buns. What started off as a pop up business later found a permanent home in the FLIPhouse food hall. Street parking is available outside. Menu options include herb and cheese stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella, pizza, butter chicken, cheeseburger, a chimney dog which contains Hungarian sausage, and the bun royale a deluxe version of the cheeseburger. The buns are made and par baked the day before, then finished off in the oven before serving. This helps to ensure the development of a nice crust on the buns, similar to a fresh baked pretzel . The cheeseburger bun containing seasoned ground beef, cheese, and a pickle was surprisingly filling. The butter chicken bun had sizeable pieces of chicken enveloped in a flavourful curry sauce. The bun was the perfect vehicle for the curry filling, served hot which gives it the textural contrast and crust, and helps to set it apart from the curry bun at the neighbouring bakery. Soups such as Tuscan white bean and kale, chicken soup and beef goulash will replace milkshakes during colder months. Loyalty stamp card is given with each bun purchased; after purchasing seven you get one free.
I just gotta say that’s these buns are WOW!!!I am so happy to see them opening their first location!! If you haven’t tried these - hurry! By now I’ve tried every single flavor and they are all so different and unique.I haven’t quite had anything like this before. There is such a generous amount of filling in all the buns that you can’t stay hungry afterwards. When I was traveling to US it was such a convenient meal at the airport and on the plane with every bun being individually wrapped. I’ve ordered them for my work-from-home lunch and for a bunch of social events as well. You can never go wrong with these. I absolutely love bunhaus and can’t recommend it enough!!
Someone that I know told me to check it out, and I am so glad that I did! I ordered a cheeseburger bun and a coconut milkshake to go. The bun was hot and fresh, and the milkshake was lightly sweet and refreshing~ A great addition to the neighborhood! Come and check it out, your tastebuds will thank you!
A great food experience. I really liked the concept of a cheeseburger in a bun. The buns were diverse and very fresh. Branko was very knowledgeable and friendly, I would definitely recommend to people looking to try something new.
