Capriccio is a small and friendly restaurant with Italian cuisine in the heart of Prague. Just a little off the beaten track, but still easy to get to, Capriccio has a manageable but tasty menu - not at the lower end of Prague's price scale, but tasty and comparatively free of boozehounds, making it just the place to grab a bite and relax with lighter fare and a little peace and quiet. The staff is sometimes a little bit crazy, but very sympathetic and always friendly and eager to fulfill the wishes of the guests as best as possible. Important for guests: No fast food is served and the kitchen is recognizably very small - so it can take a few minutes if many guests need to be served. Those who can cope with this and get involved will certainly not be disappointed. I was there several times during my stay in Prague and at no time did I have any reason to complain.
Came back on back to back days. This place is excellent. My wife got the gnocchi both days! The homemade lemonades are fabulous.
We landed inside of this etablishment coincidentally, because we we're searching for a little snack in between. From the outside we thought that it was a normal restaurant, but soon as we came in, we saw that it was "only" a nice little and cozy Cafe. I cannot hook up with the other reviews, we found the waitress pretty likeable and the food highly delicious, both pizza and the Minestrone. Liked it here!
We arrived in Prague and went looking for an easy place to eat. I know we are tourists ourselves but we wanted to avoid the crowds and have something relaxing. We stumbled on Tani's place, just off the main square and were so happy we did. We had a great pizza, local wines, and a lovely lemon meringue desert plus excellent coffee. Tani's charm is free... We will definitely be returning while we are here.
Went to this place for lunch hoping for some nice Italian food and were greatly disappointed. The waiter met us with a very uninterested and unfriendly attitude, and was very annoyed while taking orders. The pizza Margherita tasted like reheated frozen pizza and the pasta carbonara was outrageously small with a bland taste. Overall very overpriced for under-average food and bad service, cannot recommend.
Just dont go here. Once i had a parrot whose feathers i’d rather eat instead of the pizza here. Soft and undercooked, basically like frozen pizza, a classic toursit trap. The owner rushed to get our dishes out of the table and close the restaurant, in the meanwhile, he made a group of customers leave a good review when they were leaving
Cosy little restaurant with a nice and gentle vibe. The menu is not very extensive but they have a good selection of wines, pasta and pizza. I would give it 5 stars only for the amazing cleanliness. Everything is absolutely spotless, tables , chairs floors and toilets. A speck of dust cannot be found, not even on the candles lighting the tables. Gold medal to the manager and cleaners. Service is courteous and professional. Pizza is tasty and fairly sized. Bit pricey but .....it is right behind the clock tower
Don’t eat and drink here. Pizza wasn’t baked. Mojito was just sweet water. Omg. So dissapointed. I am going to McD to change the taste.
I’m glad we ate there before reading the reviews. It would have put us off going. Our experience was mostly good, I find the reviews a little harsh but everyone’s entitled to an opinion. The waiter was being a bit pushy with trying to get us to order several things to get more money out of us but he apologised once he realised we were just looking for a quick lunch and the food was really good. A little pricey but c’mon, you’re right in the centre, expect it to cost just that little bit more.
Asked the waitress if the ricotta and spinach ravioli was homemade, said the it was but to my surprise when the food came it was just bad store bought 'ravioli'. For the price I expected it to be homemade.. such a shame.
