Mary Browns

I’ve been wanting to try Mary Browns for awhile. I heard they had good chicken. I got a free regular chicken sandwich for installing their app and I got a spicy two piece combo. The chicken sandwich was ok. Chicken was cooked well but lacked seasoning. The fries and macaroni salad were really good and the fried chicken was good with the spicy seasoning. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it without if I’m totally honest. All in all, a good experience, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to go. If I’m in the area and craving some fried chicken, I’m sure I would stop in.

Good chicken but kind of pricy. First time trying Mary Brown's and I must admit it was pretty good. The Taters was good and nicely seasoned, the chicken was tender and juicy, though I had the spicy one and it looks like they were just the regular chicken with hot pepper sprinkled on top. I ordered online and the order was ready as promised. The staff was polite and friendly. They are pretty expensive for what you are getting. My 9 piece combo was $35. At KFC, I can get a 12 piece with fries and 2 sides for $25 and at Popeye's, a 14 piece chicken, 2 large sides, and 7 biscuits is $39.99.

I ordered 3 piece an taters, food was warm pieces of chicken were very small. Services was good. Store was clean. One bathroom had an out of order sign and the other had the back of the toilet lid open so you can pull a lever to flush it. Chicken didn’t taste as good as normal. I eat at MB once to sometimes twice a week and been to over 50 locations. I grew up eating MB as a kid on the east coast. I tell many people to try it. This has been number three of poor quality. It was great in the last few years when they quickly opened but I feel the brand is just starting to go down hill. I hope they get on it and control the quality.

I have ordered from this location 3 separate times now and will never again. When you order through a delivery app, it'd almost like they give you the oldest and crappiest pieces of chicken knowing that the app will credit you. I don't normally waste my time, however, I will be calling the HQ to let them know about this specific location. They need more quality control.

Decent place, I liked their spicy chicken sandwich than fired chickens. Have good dine-in facility too.

One of the favorite Fried chicken places. Very light crisp coating on the chicken and pieces are fresh and tender. Very good quality and a bit on the pricey side. Wonderful chicken. Please note, this place recently opened and have been experiencing some opening pains, that was not taken into account for the rating. Ordering through the app does not work at the moment, and wait times can be extremely long. My order took about 30 minutes to come out. Hopefully these issues will be resolved in the coming weeks ahead.

Got hooked when I was driving through Merritt awesome food and service there. I had to get some for my family to try so I happened to be driving by then one on Scott & 72nd. Been going to this location ever since I live in Burnaby The manager, she is awesome to deal with, the young lady that served me on Friday evening - well let's say she is rare and I wish ever place I went had what she has in terms of interacting with customers. Just super friendly and motivated. Job well done all around Oh by the way, the food, yay and thanks for making it taste so damn good. Gas is expensive and I get the family teaming up on me to travel to this store for the food! when your kids are in martial arts and my wife uses profanity to express the how good the food is, l lose everytime!

The lady working the front counter was not very nice. And the food was a big disappointment. This was the first time we tried Mary Brown’s chicken. Chicken was rather bland and the fries were so salty that they were almost inedible. The coleslaw was so soggy. Yuck. The food was not worth the money paid.

I've gone to this location constantly and have typically been happy. They've messed up my order a couple of times, but nothing worth complaining about... until last night. I have a large family, so I easily spend over 100 dollars here. Last night, when I called in to place my order, I was met with staff who just seemed to not understand very basic language. Which was lightly annoying, but as someone who's previously worked in fast food, I thought maybe she was having an off night. So I got to the store to pick up my order and I asked about their new dessert and the same lady who I was speaking to on the phone I assume as there's usually only two or three staff working. literally tells me, "too be honest, I don't really know what that is." Which again annoyed me because who is supposed to know? She seemed very out of it. I don't want to make any accusations, but she seemed like she was high on the job. When I got home and opened the bags up, I saw our order was totally incorrect. I was quite disappointed but not as disappointed as when my family and I went to eat and the "tators" were undercooked and so was the chicken. The chicken was really undercooked. We ended up throwing most of it away. Unfortunately, we had eaten some already, so I woke this morning with the worst stomach ache ever. After spending some time running to the bathroom over and over, I finally decided I'm going to give them a call and talk to their manager. I called the store and asked for the manager, a lady told me he wasn't there, so I asked when he might be in and she let out a few "uhh... uhhh" and then just hung up on me. This happened less than 20 minutes ago. So I'm upset. It seems ever since they've brought in new staff this location has just gone down hill. Undercooked chicken and tators at a place that's known for chicken and tators...and the terrible service from the staff...it's ridiculous.

Have had Mary Browns twice now. The current $19.96 Special: 7 pce, wedge fries and medium side is a good value. Lots of fries and good selection of pieces. Unlike KFC which overloads on drumsticks. Have had regular little bland for my taste and spicy which has just enough kick. Chicken is pressure cooked, not greasy, moist and good sized pieces. The wedge fries are well cooked, fluffy inside with a light crispy coating. Have had the coleslaw and macaroni salad, both are good but I prefer the coleslaw. Would recommend over KFC and Churches. Popeyes is still my favourite but M.B’s is much closer. Went on a weekday at noon and was not busy when walked in but started to line up during the short wait for my order. Staffer at counter was very friendly and pleasant to everyone. Space is clean, bright with a few tables for eating in. Located in a strip mall with lots of parking.
