Our d first Canadian Marshalls visit and it did not disappoint. Joyce bought a bunch of stuff

Always got new home decor items and great bathroom and kitchen items. Also marshals has great selection of clothing for everyone with decent prices. I got a beautiful pair of shoes here that I love. I keep coming here in my free time

3 star rating because I do like this store , but I feel that it's just not as good as it used to be and they really need to improve their customer service.nnI understand prices going up, it's the same everywhere but what concerns me is that the quality is getting worse. Especially with furniture items. Many pieces are wobbly, missing parts, have more obvious imperfections than usual and when you want to purchase something with a big defect or flaw they are very reluctant to give you a discount.nnThis happened to me last night, I wanted to buy an item that was broken figuring that i could repair it myself. When I got to the check-out counter the cashier told me very nicely that he could ask to see if they would give me a discount. He called over someone who might have been a manager, not sure, and right away she was aggressive. I didn't break the item, but you would think that I did by her behavior. She offered me a discount in the end but I didn't need the attitude that came with it. I was smiling and friendly towards her with no apprehension whatsoever, so this was not warranted.nnI do try to understand and accept people for the way they are, but this particular individual is often rude to customers and frankly, I spend way too much money in this store to merit this. Customer service is important and it is absolutely unnecessary to be impolite with customers especially when they are being kind and patient.nnAll in all, I'm not saying that I will never go back, I probably will, just not very often and not for a while. On the plus side, I have met some staff who are very friendly and helpful as well, so it's not all negative. Hopefully things will improve in the near future. If it does, I will be more than happy to update this review :

Busy store. I didn't like how the workers would walk in front of you when looking at goods on a shelf.
