Markham Stouffville Hospital

I love this hospital so much, I live in Oshawa and make the drive out here if it’s possible even though I live 5 minutes away from Oshawa hospital. At Markham hospital they are fast and efficient and majority of the people that work here are the sweetest, I recently gave birth here via emergency c-section, I have never seen hospital staff work so quick, if it was not for the nurses and doctors in L&D I would not have survived. My baby required some time in the nicu and oh my lord the staff in the nicu have my heart, my baby wouldn’t have made it without them, my birth story was very traumatic for all me, my boyfriend, my mom, and baby girl, all the staff were so comforting and supportive during the entire process. Huge thank you to Dr. ZeniL&D, all the nurses who were part of my c-sectionit all happened so fast there was no time for introductions, all the postpartum nurses, Dr. Sharmanicu, and all the nurses my baby had in the nicu. An extra huge thank you to Kimnicu she resuscitated my daughter and is genuinely one of the most sweetest nurse in the nicu, she came to check on me in the postpartum unit, Kim really made our experience in the nicu. If me and my boyfriend decide to have another baby in the future I will definitely be giving birth here again, and although I never want to experience being in the nicu again, if I had to I’d definitely choose here again over anywhere else.

I have been at Markham Stouffville, for 10 days now with my Dad ,and I cannot say enough good things about the care my Dad been receiving . The nursing staff is incredibly kind and supportive they truly make my Dad feel comfortable. The doctors are equally professional, kind, and always take the time to be helpful and answer my questions. Highly recommend this team

This has been our community hospital for over 20 years and I’ve consistently received exceptional care and compassion. Both of our sons were born here, and throughout countless outpatient visits across various departments as well as several trips to the Emergency Department the staff and volunteers have always treated my family and me with kindness and respect.nnIn particular, our experiences in Emergency have been incredibly reassuring during stressful situations. Even when we hesitated, unsure whether we should visit the ED instead of a community clinic, the team always made us feel welcome and confident that we made the right choice. I’m truly grateful for all the staff and volunteers and the care they provide.

The building is clean, bright, and easy to navigate, with plenty of natural light and clear signage. The staff, from reception to nurses and doctors. were professional, patient, and kind. The ER can get busy at times, but the triage process was smooth and organized. I appreciated how the medical team took time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable. Parking is right on-site and fairly easy to find, though it can get crowded during peak hours. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-run hospital that genuinely puts patients first.
