Marine Gateway Medical Clinic

Dr Tien is the worst family doctor I have ever met. The front desk is rude and always not responsive. Last time I booked an appointment with him but canceled with no apologies and no reason explained. Dr Tien’s diagnosis is ridiculous but he likes to criticize Chinese doctors a lot and call them “liars”. Full of irony.

My Doctor there is great but it is impossible to get in touch with reception to book an appointment. I've left two messages over the last week and have called 5 times. Absoluely no answer or response.

Utterly confused why this clinic would receive anything less than five stars. Convenient location on the upper floor of Marine Gateway Hub. Operates Monday to Friday. Lovely and professional staff who remain patient, helpful and composed during this unusually difficult time. Our family is seen and treated by Dr Vasquez who has brilliant reviews on Rate My MD not at all surprising. We have also seen Dr Cubra on occasion when Dr Vasquez has been away. Both doctors are incredibly patient, empathetic, and knowledgeable with relationships to other fantastic specialists in the community. Dr Vasquez is hardly ever late for an appointment - sometimes he is a few minutes early. On the rare occasion I have waited an additional 5-10 minutes but this is a far departure from our previous GP. I can’t believe had become accustomed to waiting 1 hour + elsewhere. When this clinic moved into our neighbourhood a few years ago, I happened to ask the receptionist which doctor I should see and they told me that ALL of them were amazing. We have happily found this to be true!

I have had tightness and pain in my left arm after my second vaccination for 4 months now. I’ve gone to the chiropractor, acupuncture, massage therapists with no avail and after enduring this pain for 4 months, I already lost hope and figured life would be like this since I’m getting into my late 60’s. However after seeing Lester for Physio, in just 2 sessions I already feel 40% better! I went from having limited mobility and no strength in my left arm to being able to go about my day normally now I highly recommend people to see Lester as he is very caring and skillful!

Doctors are amazing!!! Front desk staff are TERRIBLE. They don’t answer the phones. They do not respond to voicemail in a timely manner too. It has been hours since I left a voicemail. They have missed setting up specialist appointments. Certainly don’t trust them to do what is asked. Just look at the reviews of numerous complaints of reception. When will the doctors wake up and see this effects their image and patients experience?

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and I have recommended it to so many of my coworkers and friends! Here’s what I love the most: - The interior design of the clinic is just beautiful. It feels very welcoming and is always super clean! - All the ladies at the reception are so lovely, patient and helpful. I find their service always friendly and I never feel rushed when booking an appointment or asking a question, even though they are very busy! - I use the walk-in clinic here and Dr. Cubra is absolutely amazing. He is the kindest doctor, very patient, understanding, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. I never feel rushed and he always takes the time to listen to my symptoms and explain his recommendations. I truly believe he goes above and beyond for all the patients he sees. He has been an extremely huge help especially this year for me and I am so thankful for him and this clinic. The team at this clinic...they are the best! - I have never felt I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time, which is amazing for a walk-in clinic. And if they feel I have, they always apologize which just shows how thoughtful they are. Thank you so much, Marine Gateway MC. I so appreciate all you do for me and the other patients you see.

Had me wait for 30 minutes beyond the scheduled time. No apology or explanation afterward. The poker-faced receptionist talks to me while not looking at me but her computer. Wanted to give 1 star but added 1 for the doctor, who is professional and nice. This comment was given in May, 2018 I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars as they do have improved a lot these years. The online booking system is very handy to use. I appreciate and recommend Dr. Lee and Dr. Budai.

I called them to book an appointment over the phone. But the receptionist told me that I will have to come in between 9-12 to book an appointment for my first visit. So, I took half day off from work to go to the clinic first thing in the morning. But when I arrived at the clinic the receptionist told me that I have to wait until later in the afternoon. If that was the case, why didn't the receptionist inform me that there is no available spot. I strongly recommend new patients not to go to this clinic, even if it is close to your home.

Its convenient location. But the receptions don't seem like to pick up the calls. Also some reason there phone system breaks down often. If you leave voicemail again if it works they won't reply you. Email is best, but make sure you confirm everything, even for details you didn't think of. Because they are not very clear. They expect you to think of everything. But its okay if you don't realize something may go wrong, because they would say its your fault for not double checking with them. Overall the doctors are the only good things there.

Dr. Khubra is my doctor there and he is a very knowledgeable and caring physician. He always makes sure I leave the office fully informed and I never feel like the appointments are rushed. He seems to be working a lot to stay up to date with the latest research and comes across as a true professional who is passionate about what he does. Great clinic, great staff.
