Just called to check about veils - availability, price range, need appointment? Was rushed on phone by a lady that sounded distracted and uninterested. Her answers were “well, what can I tell you?” In any case, sounds like veils are $200 - $500. I have found veils elsewhere for $100 - $200...

I left Marie's Bridal Shoppe absolutely distraught. I was treated horribly and the women who own the shop made very inappropriate and upsetting remarks to me, such as "you'll never find a dress at that price." Very unprofessional and discouraging on what was supposed to be a very special time for me. Even more, the first dress they offered me was $400 over my budget. When I told them I could not try it on, as it was significantly past my budget, they told me to "try it on and we'll see what we can do for you." In other words, my impression was that they hoped I would try it on and love it so much that I would buy it. I would not recommend going here. Also, the dresses are nothing special and are overly priced.

Paola is the sweetest lady! I stopped by, on a whim, and she made room for me... and the store was NOT empty. The dresses are beautiful, there are so many styles to choose from, and if you are undecided, like myself, and say "chiffon", 12 will appear out of nowhere to try on. They are not pushy, are honest (I needed plenty of second opinions) and were not trying to force me into the most expensive dress. Extremely accommodating. Even when, if EVER, I find a dress I know I love, I will undoubtedly come to Marie's and ask for Paola to order it!

I am leaving for my wedding tomorrow and just re-tried my dress on. The sleeves of my dress fell off and the dress is an inch too wide on each side. The dress is beautiful but the woman who does alterations didn't listen to me and I ended up with a dress that didn't fit. Alterations is a very frustrating experience - avoid it if you can.
