I cannot thank the Marcus Whitman enough!!! Emily Brown helped me and my place of business plan such a special trip for all of our clients! She was extremely responsive, quick and helpful the entire process.nnMy clients had nothing but great things to say about the hotel.nThe front desk and bartenders were really nice and helpful!nnThe room I stayed in was newly renovated and beautiful!nAnd the breakfast was delicious.nnWe look forward to next year!nSincerely, Laura
I wish we were able to stay in the older original building but it sounds like those rooms are still being renovated. The rooms in the other wing are still plenty nice however. The lobby is beautiful, as are the restaurant and bar. We only ate breakfast at the hotel so I can't speak to the other food offerings but the breakfast was great. The bar has a nice selection of cocktails, a few beers and a wine list.
Looks fancy, but the remodel budget was spent on velvet chairs, and not the rock hard mattresses or the too shallow re-bath. Hard to sleep for side sleepers. For the price, the bed should be luxurious, the bath tub should be usable and there should be real cream for the coffee. You're paying for the appearance of luxury, not actual comfort. The cleaning crew does a good job though.
A beautiful historic hotel with soaring ceilings, great history and wineries with spaces on the same block. Free tastings in the lobby and a great space to just hang out - although some recessed lighting in the lobby ceilings would be welcomed for a little moody evening vibe.nnGreat service. I stayed in the newer wing which was updated and quiet. I'd highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel with spacious, clean rooms and a comfortable bed. Nice pour over coffee option in room. Easy walking distance to downtown restaurants and wine tasting rooms, and ample free parking. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
