We stayed there late October 2017. We were placed into a suite on the first floor in the “new part” of the hotel. The room was tired, the heating/cooling unit was very loud and the lobby of the new building had an off odor.  But our biggest complaint was that we were placed in a room that had hosted dogs, and smelled like it causing havoc with our allergies. When I suggested to the front desk that they should inform a guest before booking them in a pet room, the front desk’s response was that it was our responsibility to inform them we had allergies. 

Also the breakfast buffet was mediocre at best. Full of sugary sweets, children’s cereal, and high fat hot options. Real difficult to eat a healthy breakfast here. I will give high marks to the serving staff, they were polite and attentive. 

We won’t be returning, there are better options in Walla Walla.

My family and I had dinner at Marc's, the restaurant in the Whitman Hotel. We all had steaks except my daughter who had a small appetite so she had a summer salad. In short it was excellent. Each of the meals was paired with a corresponding wine choice. Being a beer drinker, I can't speak to the wine paired with the New York strip steak. My wife had the same dish and was very happy with the wine. Steaks were cooked just as we requested and tasted really good. I don't usually like a lot of sauce on my steaks but I have to say the Hollandaise sauce and the motel mushroom sauce was excellent. Nothing wrong with the mashed potatoes I got on my plate but I would have liked the twice cooked potatoes instead. It was fantastic. The service was also really good. Our server took the time to explain my son's meal to him which is helpful for a special needs kid. Pricey yes but you get what you pay for.

Amazing and elegant hotel, the interior of the main lobby reflects an awesome history on the party of this place.  It's also got great staff, and good, but simple, rooms at a more than reasonable rate!  Don't forget to check out their complimentary breakfasts in the morning!

Room was large and comfortable, but not enough electrical plugs.  No hairdryer.  Tasting rooms for 4 different wineries open into the lobby! One with a selection of cigars.  Wonderful restaurant, a little pricey, but the waitress was very attentive without being omnipresent.

I'm not reviewing the hotel itself but the restaurant. Great drinks and even better food. Keep in mind the bar area food is different from the lounge restaurant food but both are great. Also, they have a happy hour :)
