Beautiful, large rooms. Gary and Jennifer are wonderful hosts. The fireplace room is nice. There is much to explore and enjoy. Breakfast is always wonderful.

My significant other and I went for a summery weekend in July, and were able to enjoy all of the amenities of the house. A beautiful deck to see the sunsets with a glass of complimentary wine, a sauna, wonderful atmosphere, and a breakfast that will make you re-think what should be a typical breakfast all are typical of a stay at the Maiden Rock Inn. Everywhere you turn there is something different to see, as it has been lovingly re-built and decorated by the owners. Breakfast was fresh, organic, and locally-sourced, and Jennifer worked for hours on each breakfast. All of their food and activity recommendations were spot-on, and they were kind enough to let us borrow towels to go use while we swam at a local swimming "hole" (spring-fed river, clean and clear). We want to go back in the winter and enjoy the hand-made floor to ceiling stone fireplace, sauna, and library to their full potential.

We stayed for the weekend in The Grotto room. It was gorgeously-designed with a real old-school feel to it (in a classical way as opposed to musty). The accommodations themselves were wonderful (comfortable bed, jacuzzi, sauna, wine), but the hosts were what really set the place apart. Gary and Jennifer both took the time to greet us and show us around, as well as give us tips for the area. Jennifer prepared creative meals for breakfast, which was especially great for my foodie fiancee. The meals were locally-sourced and quite nutritious. Gary was a wonderful host both nights, telling us about the history of the area over complimentary red wine and classic records. If you're looking for a unique, home-y experience, you cannot go wrong with the Maiden Rock Inn. Besides the inn itself, the area has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the state, as well as plenty of cute shopping, dining, and wining experiences. Well worth the time for a long weekend!

This was a great place to get away to. Very warm and inviting on a cold December day. Gary and Jennifer are great hosts and breakfast is amazing. We loved the historic feel and attention to detail in each room. We will definitely visit again. :-)
