I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and my order would never change - the spaghetti bolognese is absolutely amazing. This is the only place that uses real, shredded cheese as the baked garnish on top many restaurants just put fake parmesan, I’ve even seen Kraft Singles on some once which is a bonus. Ordering the spaghetti will get you a hot drink for free, and if you get it during dinner you’ll get soup/dessert as well. They make the dishes very fast, and they have started accepting debit card and cash since the pandemic. Their other dishes are amazing as well - stick with the baked rice and spaghetti dishes, you won’t be disappointed. Great for takeout and dine in!
Magic Fusion Cuisine is a food court spot that advertises the best Spaghetti Bolognese in town and they are not kidding. We had the Spaghetti Bolognese that came with a cream of carrot and a beverage for breakfast and it was so good. The crust of the Spaghetti Bolognese was filled with melted cheese and it full of meat as well. The noodles were the thick kind and complimented the sauce well. The cream of carrot was also really good with not too much carrot and tasting a bit sweet like sweet potato soup. Overall, definitely a must try and the meal was a big enough portion that you might be able to stretch it for dinner and next day’s lunch for one person.
If you're ever lost and wind up in Markham, head to the food court located in First Markham Place. Besides the numerous Asian food kiosks, there is one bold enough to claim "the best spaghetti bolognese in town". I am one never to refuse a challenge and immediately ordered one with an extreme look of doubt on my face. I upgraded to a lemon ice tea for only $1.50 extra which was flavorful and not watered down with plenty of lemon slices. The bolognese spaghetti came in a large rectangular tin, baked with alot of cheese and a very meaty sauce, wowza! When I was a child I loved eating Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs. On the very first taste, these wonderful memories gushed into my brain. Soft/overcooked spaghetti could have been a little more al dente but then again I'm not expecting Italian restaurant quality in an Asian food court smothered in meaty sweet tomato sauce covered in cheese. I swear the ratio of sauce to pasta is 50/50 for all the sauce lovers out there , after all, who likes eating dry spaghetti. I know to the so called Italian cuisine connoisseurs this spaghetti would be considered blasphemy but to each their own. While everyone else in the food court was eating their dumplings, noodles and BBQ meats, I gorged myself on my spaghetti and needed at least 2 large napkins to wipe off the large orange/red stain around my mouth. "The best spaghetti bolognese in town", I am now a true believer.
My husband and I have been coming here since teenagers and we never get tired of their hk style food. We usually get their bolognese, hk French toast and milk tea. Their cold milk tea is the absolute best - very strong in tea flavour. The owners are also very friendly and down to earth. If you like authentic traditional hk style food, this is the place to go. Much better than any of those new fancy hk tea styled restaurants in markham!
A First Markham Place Foodcourt Fave!!! Since I moved to Markham a few years ago, I have been going regularly to First Markham Place mostly for shopping, haircuts and of course the Food Court!! I have tried many of the food booths and this one Magic Fusion Cuisine is a very well known Hong Kong Cafe Style Food booth in the Markham Central Area. Many times when visiting this mall or looking for something to bring home for a quick meal, I've stopped here to get food. I've eaten quite a few items from the menu, but one of our favourites is the Spaghetti Bolognese, which their version is not bad at all. Keep in mind this is not Folco's of Unionvile's Bolognese or classic Italian Bolognese which I have had at countless Italian Restaurants all over North America, but a very good, Mega Cheesy version which is a hit at our house any day. This version of Bolognese is served in a tray and it's only ten dollars last time I got it . It's enough to feed 2 adults and two kids and have leftovers, so that's a plus for parents and out of town visitors looking for a quick meal. On one of my last visits during the pandemic, many of the food booths had tables outside the mall where you could order food and they would go and bring it to you. Their food is also available from the typical food delivery services like Uber Eats or Fantuan. Since I always like to try new things, on the last visit I picked up three times, yes, I got the Bolognese, but also a dish with a large Deep Fried Chicken Wing with Fried egg, rice and veggies and curried braised beef. This was a recommendation from one of the guys manning the table outside. As usual, everything was delicious and cheap. Although I do eat from some of the other food booths at First Markham Place, Magic Fusion Cuisine is a hallmark of consistency, quality and affordability. If you're at First Markham Place give them a try yourself.
Love this place. I've been going since I was a child. They've raised their prices since then but it's still my fave spot in the food court and I go here knowing I will always enjoy my food. I usually get the club sandwich which is actually filling
I had the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was really good. The cheesy tomato sauce with ground beef is delicious. This is the best comfort food when you're hungry, the portion is quite big!
Magic Fusion Cuisine is one of those HK-style fast food shops that is meant to be especially family friendly, as suggested by its colorful physical design. However, I ironically find it surprising that the portions served here can be quite big, such as this baked ox tongue on tomato sauce fried rice, and they don't always come with a drink or soup as is typical of these kinds of outlets. Yet I commend them for their wide variety of delicious offerings that is good for both young and old.
Always put their bread on the food court table even on a busy weekend. I saw a kid once poke his finger to the bread who sit next to it. Doesn't matter if the bread is wrap in plastic or not. Because of the way they handle their food I will not order from them.
Ordered 12 honey garlic chicken wings tonight. The wings were ok but the drumettes were the size of my thumb. Took them back and they said they’ll redo a new batch. Got 8 plain pieces of chicken that were better in size but missing 4. They were not happy and said take your old order back too then. I took back the missing pieces and left the rest. Quality control and customer service lacking.
