Very nice interior decoration. Service was excellent and the server was friendly and attentive. Food also came out quick and hot. Food taste was also very good. Just remember that it's in square one mall so expect it to be pricey and it was. We were party of six and each paid about $55 plus tax for main meal and non alcoholic drink. Food portions are on the small side and not all deserts were available. Gratuity was automatically included in the bill for party of six. Still, if you want to experience Turkish cuisine, I recommend this place. Vegetarian options: They do have some vegetarian dishes but limited Kid-friendliness: Staff is friendly to kids as we observed another table with kids Wheelchair accessibility: Big doors with auto open and plentiful space for wheel chairs Dietary restrictions: Wait staff will try their best to accommodate your dietary requirements if you ask nicely. They are very friendly
Excellent Turkish Restaurant. Very delicious Turkish delicacies. The kid's menu was limited. The tea came with pastry for only $3. Nice environment. We did not see the menu for Turkish dishes first so we ordered pasta Italian food and it tasted good. People who waited at our table was very professional and nice!
I would give a 3.5 for this because the food is so so but is very nice to have it inside the mall instead of the regular food court. I love the decor of this place. The food is pretty good but didn't wow me. I love their presentation and a treat when you order a drink. Lastly, I love their Turkish delight - not so sweet and the jelly part is so yummy and the texture is just right. I would try more next time.
A little overpriced imo, but in Turkey they are also on the pricier side. We came only for desserts as we already had dinner at home that day. Was glad that they were able to find us a table called to reserve despite being a last minute call. Service was a little slow to get our orders and bill in, but overall to get the desserts, it was rather quick. Our server was new so had to go back and forth to check with the chef what's available. I'd suggest it looks more professional/better to write it down and keep track of it that way or have it put on the system so that servers don't need to go back and forth to check what's available and what's not available. Most of the desserts we wanted were not available, so we got something else. Overall, found the ice cream very good and all the desserts we got were good. The cheese roll was also good but it was mostly pastry and not enough cheese. Nice interiors and lots of options to choose from in terms of food.
The ambience and decor is pretty good. The food is well presented and hot just how I like it. I wish the waitress asked us for how done the meat is as some cultured are not used to the well done meat! The sweets are pretty tasty we even grabbed some extra Turkish delights to go. Highly recommend this place
A slightly expensive place for a quick bite while shopping in square one. Feel good that all the servers are attentive and well trained. Food are good quality ingredients, menu somewhat more North American than exotic traditional turkey cuisine. Pistachios and honey are two major in all sweets, eat alone is too sweet but well matched with the strong bitter taste of a good cup of turkeyish coffee.
I have been a few times for breakfast and dinner. Overall the food is really good! Service is good as well, the waitress was really kind. The chicken lavash is a solid portion size, not too big but not too small either. The ice cream was surprisingly really good too! The honey almond ice cream was just the perfect amount to satisfy your desert craving. Definitely a decent Turkish restaurant to try out.
I enjoy going their for coffee or dinner with friends. It’s a bit expensive. I love their Turkish coffee and desserts. I like the decor of the place. Servers are always very helpful, available, and ready to give recommendations. They also have a big variety of dishes for different tastes.
Went there for dessert and coffee after dinner. Very nice atmosphere, spacious. Way too many options to pick from in terms of dessert. Service was great. Our waiter Yazan was awesome. Only downside is that it’s pricey. One tiny Turkish coffee literally 2 sips for me to finish it was $8 plus tax!! The kuanafa and baklava were good, slightly pricey too.
I visited Mado Square One after having a positive brunch experience at Mado Dufferin. However, my experience here was quite disappointing. The staff took our order after an incredibly long wait. We asked to start off with a Jug of Lemonade and we’re told it’s on its way. After 10-15 minutes, we inquired about our drinks only to be told that there’s no Lemonade. When we tried to place a substitute order for our drinks with another server, he told us that Lemonade is available and he’ll bring it out. Another 15 minutes later we were told Lemonade is in fact out. This issue could’ve been resolved by having one server stationed in a particular zone. When our food finally arrived, the dishes tasted dry and bland with the exception of the Chicken Lavash. The Crispy Manti was overpriced for the quantity and the quality- it was hard to bite into and I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. The Mado Burger was also lacklustre and nothing to write home about. We moved on to dessert with higher hopes. The Finger Ice Cream was decent, it was easy and fun to eat although it didn’t have particularly strong flavour to it. The texture of the Pistachio Ice Cream was not creamy at all and it was a struggle to get ahold of. The Mini Cake with Chocolate Pistachio was by far the most underwhelming because it was entirely dry despite being a sponge cake. It was utterly bland and was difficult to finish. If you’re visiting Mado, I’d recommend sticking to their Breakfast Platters. I hope their service and taste will improve otherwise.
