I stepped in for a quick drink but the guy behind the counter was so helpful and engaging I ended up getting dessert and delicious coffee. Best part about the coffee cake was it was soaked in coffee and it tasted heavenly. Great stuff.Food: 5/5
A great place for a casual meet up with friends with its very modern vibe. This location has the best Karak chai I’ve had in a very long time. It’s perfectly steeped strong black tea and very fragrant intense cardamom flavour. I hope that they’re able to maintain the quality of tea by keeping this recipe consistent. I also had a paratha wrap which was not a favourite, but I’m willing to give it another shot sometime. Felt that the chicken marinade could be improved upon, sauces could be applied more liberally and paratha could be thinner, and silkier. *Kashmiri pink chai was also good but I preferred the Karak chai.
The first thing to stand out is the atmosphere, which is well developed and designed. Karak Chai was properly cooked, though sweet enough to slow our consumption. The Karak Coffee offered a slightly-Desi twist to standard coffee which made for a great frappe concoction. The Pink Tea gave us the right notes of Kashmiri chai though it was too sweet for our party members. Mohid/Mohit helped us with our order and made us the correct drink when it served up wrong. The Carrot Halwa Cake may taste like a carrot cake, but the added raisins and lack of walnuts really drove us to thinking it's something unique and surprisingly light. We look forward to visiting Chaiiwala again and hope it continues the same trend of popularity and adoption as the chain has in other global markets.
We hosted a paint & calligraphy workshop at the DIXIE location and what a great experience it was! Lovely ambiance, delicious food and the chai was epic! I have to say a BIG thank you to Reshma, who is the manager there. She is a lovely host and the customer service was awesome! Visit #DIXIE location for great service!!
I visited the Dixie location for the first time this past weekend for an event and had a wonderful experience. The event lasted about 3 hours so I was able to observe staff & absorb the atmosphere for a while. The environment is so clean, staff is super friendly and willing to help and do their best to enhance your experience. They recommended the Karak Chai but also suggested the Pink Cashmiri Chai- I had both and I'm still dreaming about the creaminess! Also, very stoked that I can now enjoy vegan chai! I also met the owner of this location who is an absolute delight! They did an amazing job responding to the event facilitators & catered accordingly. Food was delivered to the tables in a timely manner & made for some happy customers! I also enjoyed the countless customers entering into warmth & exiting with a smile. Can't wait to visit the Dixie location again! Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly meals & seating! Parking: large parking lot but fills up fast with customers & all of the surrounding businesses. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface from parking lot to door entrance with a wide enough aisle to access the cashier/counter Dietary restrictions: Offers vegan chai & veggie samosas as well as Omelette Parathas!
It was pretty good getting some kadak chai, roll and vege petty. Chai had some really nice Indian flavour along with cardamom. Food was good too. I would say it’s pretty good place if you need quick indian snack bite along with some nice indian tea.
I cannot say enough good things about Chaiiwala - and this applies to both locations! The staff are nice, the service is quick even if it’s busy tip: it’s hardly ever busy during the day time! I do wish they had more savoury options, but that’s because everything on the menu is really good! The butter chicken roll, the parathas, the chai! There is definitely something for everyone. Another thing is, they could’ve easily hiked up the prices because of their brand name, but they didn’t. Everything is very reasonably priced. You can get two food items and a drink for $10. Their food is snack sized so be sure to order a couple different things! I love coming here with my friends and family, to sit or to take away. Highly highly recommend to everyone!
Chaiwalia is a decent spot for some Indian street food. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, the food is just okay. The flavours are decent, but nothing particularly stands out. The prices are also reasonable. The menu has a good variety of options, from chaat to samosas to biryani. The portion sizes are also generous. The Chai is also good, but nothing too special. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, and it's a great spot for a quick bite. The seating area is small and can be cramped sometimes, but it's not too bad. Overall, Chaiwalia is a decent spot for some Indian street food, with good service and reasonable prices. The food is just okay, but it's a good option if you're in the area and looking for something quick and casual.
I would have given 3 stars based on my experience with Kadak Chai but My kids love the Mango Lassi Frappé. Try it for your self. Small space and not appropriate for a large party.
I ordered the Desi Breakfast, Masala Fries and of course the signature chai drink that were all surprisingly friendly to my tastebuds. Pretty generous portions that make it such a steal from the price point. Staff was super efficient as it didn't take long to get my order done despite the busy place. Will definitely be back soon to try something else!
