Mabel's Bakery & Specialty Foods

While the food might be delicious, the attitude of the staff here can leave a foul taste in your mouth. I live in the neighbourhood, and have been here countless times. Honestly, the staff just act like there's somewhere else they'd rather be. Some act disconnected to the customers, some are downright rude. This wasn't once or twice. This happens is almost every time I go in. I just get a weird vibe there. Hopefully the owner can teach her staff to smile, and show a little customer service. If they aren't sure what I mean, just have them poke their head into Roast, Krave or any of other shops along St Clair who have friendly, bubbly staff that build a strong rapport with the locals. A true miss for an otherwise great place.

Excellent home baked goods made with quality ingredients. Super helpful staff. Mabel's always pull through when I've realized I have to take something somewhere & I don't know what. I'm the fave for bringing the dessert, I always bring Mabel's pie & EVERYONE loves a pie from Mabel's! :)

Great baked goods and local fare. The quiches, salads and empanadas are all excellent. Shortbread cookies are nice.
