Things I tried:nnPistachio croissant: Try it once. Maybe another time if you really like it but you’re not a bougie b. Things to note; Not a strong pistachio flavour but I think I appreciate that. Not overly sweet which is great, and the croissant itself is on the hard side complete opposite to Le Beau’s croissants.nnAlmond croissant: it’s good, but since you came all this way, just go for the pistachio croissant. Or get both. I would. Texture and sugar level is the same as the pistachio croissant, the filling is weak.nnSausage roll: WOW. Just WOW. It’s overpriced and tiny. That’s it. My Asian palette found the taste of the sausage too bland and one note.nnFrench onion with cheese and egg bun: I think this would have won over the people had it been baked with a hard crusty bread instead of a soft bun. Flavours are underwhelming.
Service is great, you pick your stuff from the counter and then you find your own seating in the patio. In the winter the patio is covered so you can enjoy it. I went in the spring so seating in plain air was not a concern. It gets pretty busy and good luck if you find a free table on a weekend. Their pastries are delicious. A must come back.
The pistachio croissant and the blueberry cream danish are excellent and very filling.nnThe sausage and egg muffin is one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city.nnSausage roll is also very tasty and comes with a mustard fennel dip.
We had to check this place out as it was going viral for their famous pistachio croissants. We came on a Sunday afternoon, there was a line which we weren’t surprised. The people in line informed us that the pistachio croissants were coming out at 12:45 so we got lucky and got to try! It was only one of the best croissants I’ve ever had, if you’re someone that likes fruity things I also recommend the passionfruit croissant. However, I would say it didn’t taste super fresh out of the oven, those were two of the best I’ve ever tried in terms of flavours. The regular butter croissant and hazelnut chocolate croissants were pretty standard, nothing special. I would definitely come back just for the other two! Definitely worth trying and waiting in line in the cold for!
Great location. Nice restaurant, service could be a bit better. Croissants are one of the best in Toronto. The pistachio croissant was great, I preferred the almond croissant and dark chocolate croissant. They use Soma chocolate, so they use high quality ingredients. Everyone should try it out.
