Maa Sagar

Maa Sagar in central Mississauga is a fairly new south Indian cuisine vegetarian restaurant, and I was lucky enough to visit them in their first week of business. I am very happy I did because the quality and taste of dosas here is very high. Quantities are good, and the amazing variety of dosas leaves you very satisfied. Chef Ravi in the kitchen is from Bangalore, India and has been a chef for a long time, and brings out the real taste of Udipi in his cuisine. I personally recommend the Mysore-Banaras masala dosa or the Paneer masala dosa very much. I think this restaurant ranks second only to the famous Gurulakshmi, in terms of dosa and sambhar taste and preparation. Highly recommended.

Avoid at all costs, extremely disappointed, may be cheaper than Guru Lakshmi, but it's not worth it with how bad the taste is. Went in August 2015. Ordered onion uttapam, paneer bhurji dosa, mysore rava masala and mysore masala dosa. Onion uttapam: decent taste, a bit spicy and undercooked Paneer bhurji dosa: dosa is adequate, green chutney is decent, coconut chutney is more watery than water, red chutney is sweet instead of tangy, like cmon! If I wanted a sweet chutney I'd order paani puri... Mysore rava masala: nothing mysore about it, tasted more like a ghee rava dosa.. No flavour or spice at all Mysore masala: same thing, very limited masala.. And lacks spice. Sambar: is decent, but a bit too

Never open. I have eaten here before and the place serves solid dosa if it's ever open. Went a month ago for lunch and the owner said we closing for a bit and come back in a few hours. Like I was going to wait. And went today for lunch but it was closed. They don't even have hours of operation in front of the restaurant. Not gonna waste my time again.

Absolutely useless place...no staff to serve you...they served my dosa really cold after 30 minutes wait time and was a reallt horrible rave dosa....a dark and spooky place...not worth the money...don't waste your time and money. Worst experience ever.

Terrible food no flavour at all .....dont get impressed by the cheap cost ......and exrremely dirty place as well. Warning don't waste ur money by going to this place rather go to sarvannah bhavan .

I went there and had my lunch.. it was a fantastic restaurant for indian supper. Highly recommended for everyone.

Not worth the money. Tooo expensive. Sambar was good before but then couple of people comes in and water was added to sambar

Poor experience smells real stinky would not go. Found cockroaches in my daal.

I just had worst dosa . from maa sagar . fried Mysore masala dosa . what a disappointment

Food is OK, the place is dirty and the service not very friendly, prices too high.
