I eat m&m food at my parents place and the stuff is pretty yummy. I went to replace some wings we ate and to get some for ourselves. I got three boxes to replace and wanted a fourth for dinner that night. Apparently I was only allowed to take home three boxes because of a deal? I can understand that if something is on sale they can limit quantities, makes sense. I decide to stick with replacing the three boxes. Head to the cash and I’m not a member. Well I didn’t realize this was Costco and they weren’t going to sell me the boxes of wings because I wasn’t a member. They didn’t try and sell me a membership or telll me how I could acquire a membership or a loophole to buy three boxes of wings...it was just a “you’ll need a membership so I can look up your number to sell you anything” I was taken off guard but thought well if my parents are members then one of their numbers has to work. Luckily that suggestion was ok and one phone number did work and boxes purchased. I doubt I’ll go to m&ms again, not a fan of the members only situation. I felt like the kid not invited into the treehouse and no secret password to let me in
