I’ve been a regular shopper at this store, but I’m really concerned about the safety of the plaza recently. After the snowstorms of the past few days, the parking lot and walkways haven’t been properly cleared, making it extremely hazardous to walk or park. This lack of snow removal puts shoppers at risk, especially those who are elderly or have mobility issues. I hope the store takes this seriously and prioritizes cleaning up the plaza to ensure the safety of all customers.

Sabrina was very kind and generous to us. The customer service given by Sabrina was EXCEPTIONAL…I would say exceptional is an UNDERSTATEMENT of what was transferred.. Sabrina ensured that the customers was well taken care of instead of attending to her needs. When Sabrina had to go on her break, there was not enough staff on the front line. Sabrina took it upon herself to sacrifice her lunch break for the sake of the customers. Sabrina’s kind gesture made light in a dark and gloomy day of mine. Thank you so much Sabrina. The Food Basics on Hazeldean offers great prices on fruits and vegetables, especially when on sale. They make an effort to prevent food waste by marking down blemished produce. The international aisle is impressive, with a wide variety of products from around the world, making it easy to find ingredients for diverse cuisines.

The Hazeldean location is one of the food basics that is reliably cleaner and has better customer service than others I've been to in Ottawa. I also find that they are likely to have more sale items in stock than some other locations.

Excellent for store!!! They have a handful of virtually every food supply from all over the world. Great place and god prices too. I recommend here to anyone who is interested in shopping food.
