Lycée international de Calgary (ex Louis Pasteur)

Our children were happy and thriving at the Lycée International de Calgary — until a leadership change completely shifted the environment. Many wonderful teachers left, morale collapsed, and families were asked to pay more while receiving less. Values like kindness and student well-being no longer matched what we saw day to day. We can no longer recommend this school.nn[Update:] My previous review was wrongly removed. Negative reviews are as valid as positive ones when they reflect real experiences. Families deserve honest feedback.

Until last year, this school was considered a hidden gem in Calgary. Sadly, the culture has eroded at a rapid pace since the new administration took over. In just twelve months we have seen:n– a departure of some of the school’s most beloved teachers, with low teacher morale overall;n– serious parent concerns brushed aside; andn– bullying and other behaviour problems left unaddressed.nnWhile these larger issues fester, leadership pours its energy into areas that were not broken in the first place - such as the uniform code and outdoor play space - making things much worse through their micromanagement and mismanagement. Had we known the direction the school would take under this new leadership, we would not have enrolled our children. We are now actively seeking alternatives, and we are far from alone.nnI sincerely hope the damage can be repaired so the community may again become the vibrant, rigorous, and truly special environment it once was.
