The baker at Love Sugar and Dough is exceptional. He takes pride in his work and goes beyond the service that one would ever expect. We had a birthday cake made from him and the week before he had us come in to sample the lemongrass and coconut infused butter cream icing he was thinking of doing on the cake umm Yes please !. The cake turned out delicious and was a work of art. Thank you for making the birthday celebration so special - everyone loved the cake !

Our family ordered a cake for our mom's birthday detailed review coming and as I am gluten free I couldn't have any but I did experience the level of service, the absolutely gorgeousness of the cake, and sampled the delicious icing. The owner did gift me some gluten free slider buns which were outstanding! We want everyone to support the fabulous bakery!

Incredible customer service! I was looking for a last-minute birthday cake. The owner used sheet-cake I think? and created a custom cake, every side covered in chocolate, topped with macaroons, and different types of chocolate. It was so beautifully decorated and he did it in only 20 minutes, for an incredible price too. I also tried their mini-cakes and definitely recommend 'Death by Chocolate'. Its a large portion for $8 too. Definitely would go back. Oh and he added in a birthday sign for the cake too. So nice

We ordered our son’s wedding cake from Love Sugar & Dough. The cake was amazing. My son sent Vibhor, Chef/Owner, a picture of the cake he wanted, we were all so impressed as the cake turned out even better than we expected. The cake was fabulous, not too sweet, nice and moist and light…so delicious. We all loved it, everyone asked for the bakers name. We highly recommend Vibhor, Chef/Owner and will definitely be visiting his bakery in the near future. Thank you.

Over the past year we have made several purchases and ordered birthday and retirement cakes for friends and family and other items. Vibhor, his wife and Dad have been especially kind and helpful to make items gluten free for our family and offering suggestions so that my wife can also enjoy the treats. All our friends and family grand kids too have enjoyed the desserts and noted they could not tell they were gluten free. The flavors, texture and designs have been awesome. Whenever you can catch their fresh-made almond croissants, grab them because these may just be some of The Best in yyc. My go-to for almond croissants used to be YPH in downtown, however I discovered their frangepine almond cream filling contains liquor, so this bakery is a blessing! Their red velvet cookies and death by chocolate cake are scrumptious and service is always lovely! Some critique I have: I wonder if the Bakery case they use may not be airtight or have a leak from prolonged use? I once went earlier in the day and received a partially hardened chocolate croissant. On another occasion, I tasted an unusual, unexpected sour-note in the blackforest cake slice's cherry filling. The latter was commented on by two friends who were sharing it with me. We all agreed the cake and whip itself were perfect, but the filling threw it off unfortunately.
