Canela Vegan Bakery & Cafe

My partner and I are visiting from the states and Canela was recommended to us by a local. I was excited to try the cinnamon roll and sure enough, it was delicious! My partner got the almond croissant for breakfast and the ham and cheez croissant for lunch and loved them both. I had a mocha from the coffee bar and it was quite good, as well. The atmosphere is good, too. Open, bright, and clean. Friendly with touches of elegance. I hope to get there again tomorrow before we leave.

Couldn’t wait to do the review for this place because of how amazing it is. Came here on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. Loved the space right away, in general a big fan of open kitchen concept which makes the experience feel more interactive. Despite not being a quiche person, went for the quiche because it was one of the smallest portion size item. And it was absolutely phenomenal. Great texture and confluence of flavor, both delicate and a slight crisp at the edge. It may be the best quiche I have ever had even compared to the ones with actual eggs. Can’t wait to come back and try more items. A true 5/5 experience and a must try for vegan and non-vegan bakery lovers. My only request is to please make more sweet treats with maple syrup.

Beautiful bakery. We had a cinnamon roll and pumkin latte. The cinnamon roll looks good with toppings on it. The roll isn’t too sweet but the topping is so I removed some toppings. The texture is like donut. Personally I quite like it. The pumpkin latte has wonderful spiral cream on the top. Looks good and tastes good. It’s the first vegan bakery. To be honest it tastes better than I expected most vegan bakeries taste too bad. The place is quite instagramable. Good to chill in the afternoon.

Let’s face it, delicious vegan desserts are challenging to make but Canela Vegan Bakery in Inglewood does a wonderful job of creating flavorful treats. Their beverages are creative and yummy too. They offer seasonal drink creations. Iced lavender chai is my favorite! My only reservation is that the service is hit or miss. Sometimes, super friendly but at other times, cold and dismissive. It’s excellent when the owner is there. She’s very warm and welcoming.

I was travelling on tour and landed in Calgary for a night. We needed a cake for a birthday. I called the morning of and they were able to accommodate us with the most delicious vanilla caramel cake. Literally the entire band claimed it was the best cake they've ever had and I have to agree. I had to also arrange for it to be picked up and brought to the hotel. They were so friendly and helpful!

I am in love! This place is amazing! My second time here. The vibe is amazing, perfect to get a drink, catch up, or do some school work. And their desert selection is a dream - as a vegan, it’s lovely to be able to try all these sweets I could never have due to them having egg! And everything is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing as well - the food and the facility itself. You can tell that they maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene! Not to mention the prices are very reasonable! So thankful for this gem!

I know they have the best danishes vegan or not, so I was excited to try their weekend-only pancakes. So good! Plant-based sausage patty and even "caramel" sauce. Filling and delicious!

What a phenomenal cafe! As a vegetarian, I was so thrilled to find a vegan bakery. We ordered a savoury treat Ham and Cheese croissant, and the daily special, with two lattes. Everything was delicious. The pumpkin chai latte was to die for. I could chug that drink for the rest of my life! Team was friendly, store was super cute—filled with a funky sofa, lots of plants, and chill vibes. I WISH I lived closer to this place as it would be in my weekly rotation! A vegans dream! As far as I know everything is vegan friendly. I haven't had croissants in years, but here you have a few choices and they're all amazing. There's lots to choose from here, sweet and savory. The ricotta spinach rolls and Korean style sausage roll are both amazing. The coffee is also very high quality. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. There is a small patio out front which is dog friendly It does get busy at peak times weekend brunch but be assured, it's worth the short wait. Well recommended.

Fully vegan bakery! Very friendly staff and lots of delicious food, their cookies are legendary. They also offer savory options like vegan sausage rolls so a full meal is possible as well.
