A small nice Greek restaurant in the neighbourhood, serving all the Greek favourites, Greek Salad, souvlaki, gyro, Calamari, Moussaka, etc. Family run with great prompt service, popular with take-outs.
Small plates are delicious here ! I would recommend this if you are hungry ! Portions are well sized at the price. My go to place for souvlaki dinner around the area. Very home style. A++.
Had the traditional Chicken Souvlaki dinner. Not too many Greek restaurants I run into that it serves such a well-seasoned delicious meal. Rice was on point, chicken was still tender and not dry, and the Greek salad of course was also very tasty. Would highly recommend if you like Greek food in your in the area
Great dinner. Everything was tasty and fresh. So we'll definitely return
I have to be honest this review should have been done earlier. My wife and I periodically order from here whenever we have family get-togethers and Greek food is on everyones mind. They have never disappointed in choices, portions and flavour. The reason I am just posting this is because of a so called Greek take-out place located in the immediate vicinity of yonge st and king st Richmond Hill. Today they reminded me why places like Loui's Kouzina are worth giving 5 stars.
Whenever I crave Greek I crave this place! Made to order meat, succulent, and delicious! Their pork is my favorite, has the right amount of fat! Prices are reasonable too, I believe ownership changed a few years ago, but the cooks appear to be the same, so the food is still top notch. We've been going for years! I give them 9/10!
If you’re in the area and craving Greek food, I recommend coming here. This restaurant is easily walked by and missed, but it’s great. The food is always cooked fresh and is consistent while the staff is friendly. I always get the chicken souvlaki plate and I’m never disappointed with either the portions or taste. The restaurant is small and has a bit of a wait if you come during busy time. Luckily you can do take out as well.
TLDR: The platters are a great value for three people, but a must need side dish will cost an additional $5. Regarding the appetizers, The Trio, which contains three sauces - hummus, tzatziki, and chickpea - was unique and had a sweet taste. The tzatziki was particularly good and was the highlight of the meal. However, the spinach pie was disappointing and not as good as what I've had from other places. Moving on to the entrees, the gyros were excellent with a great balance of spices and the tzatziki sauce. It had a flavor similar to Chinese lap cheong sausages. The lamb chops were good, but I mistook them for steak due to the lack of bones. The gaminess was still present but the spices helped to cover it up. The pork slavosky was standard and nothing particularly noteworthy. On the downside, the chicken was dry and lacked any chicken flavor. It tasted more like tzatziki sauce than actual chicken. The quail was hard and dry, and frankly, not edible. Additionally, we ordered a side dish which cost $5 for a small plate, but it was good value for money.
This is a nice place for Greek food. Best value and delicious. The grilled octopus is outstanding. We love the pork souvlaki.
Used to eat here all the time when I lived in the area years ago. Happy to see that the place and food has not changed at all - still the best Greek food by far in the area. Service was also awesome. Came in at lunch and asked how long it was going take. Without my asking, the woman who took my order asked the chef to rush the order. Not necessary, but was very considerate. My only complaint and reason for not giving 5 stars is that they are soooo frugal with the tzatziki - and always have been. When you pay $25 for a takeout lunch you don’t expect to pay 1.50 for 2 tablespoons of a condiment that consists of yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice and…. dill? You get the same amount no matter what size you order. Another man that was eating in the restaurant had to ask for more while I waited for my order too. C’mon guys - stop charging for a little extra sauce or at least give proper size portions. Those 1 oz containers are a joke
