A great find on Google maps today! I love these kinds of places, small local joint with super friendly service and fantastic food. There are some picnic tables but with the state of them I think you're better off in your car. A must visit if you are within 30 mins of here for an amazing burger, fries and gravy. Don't forget to add peameal bacon to your burger!
100% worth stopping, saying hi to Melissa and grabbing a BIG portion of food. Cash only. Well priced. Very generous portion sizes and cooked fresh while you wait. I’ll absolutely be back and Newfie Fries are a home run!
I was actually torn between 3 and 4 stars on this one. We decided to come here for a nice scenic drive and because it was so highly rated. We tried to come here a month or 2 ago but they were closed due to weather, no big deal. I don’t think anyone else that has reviewed this place has actually ever had really good, life changing fries. So let me start by saying, we came from Milton and decided to take 10 side road to get there because there is a 10 side road entrance. So let me paint a picture for you - it’s a food truck beside a gas station and in the back of the gas station is outdoor storage/parking. That’s fine and all, I have no problem with that. The problem I have were with the huge potholes and ruts in the pavement. Next, I’d like to point out that we didn’t know it was CASH ONLY but the lady taking orders was extremely nice, she let us take our orders and go grab cash and come back. I loved that customer service. Also, didn’t feel rushed and she was lovely answering any questions we had about the menu. So we ordered: spicy sausage, onion rings, poutine, ground beef poutine, and burger. I asked for cheese burger but there must have been a mistake, not the end of world. Let me say for a fries place - the best thing on the menu were the onion rings. The onion rings were absolutely fantastic. Fries were nothing to write home about. For a place that focuses on fries, I would think that their fries would mind blowing but I was unfazed. Also, to note - the portion sizes were massive for fries. Sausage just tasted like it was a boiled sausage then put on the grille to char…it wasn’t even charred that much - it was like lightly touched by the grille. I believe that the burger was frozen then cooked on a grille. The meat looked like Harvey’s angus burger to be honest. Also, I don’t think the bun was toasted. Was ok…way too over priced for the burger and sausage though - for what you receive. Could have gone to Harvey’s and gotten 2 burgers for the same price as the burger at Lou Anne’s. Overall, if you’re in the area, give it a try. Not a place to go out of your way for. Very mediocre.
Fabulous! We took small and the size was very generous. Had to wait a few minutes as they were made fresh just for us Kid-friendliness: Close to the road but still tables are far enough to get the kids away and admire all the parked cars Parking: When we came there was plenty of parking and space at the picnic tables
All 3 sizes of fries are big portions. Fresh cut excellent fries.
This is hands down the best chip truck style food I’ve had in a LONG time. The poutine and gravy was absolutely delicious and the hot dog is huge with great taste!! I’m extremely satisfied with this meal and would 150% recommend this place to any and everybody! The lady working was also incredibly friendly and her service was awesome, amazing place to eat!
Cute little roadside place. Trafalgar & side road 10. NE corner. Had to stop for some fries. They were very yummy. Place was very clean & tidy and had pandemic protocol in place! Very friendly service. Reasonable prices. Our picture of poutine is a “small” Was H U G E
We were on our way to Limehouse Conservation Area when we passed by Louanne’s fries. We thought of grabbing a quick bite before the hike and so we decided to give this place a try. Our hopes were not high but we were actually surprised on how good the food were for such economical price. My daughter enjoyed the hotdog and the fries while I am delighted with the cheeseburger. We are definitely going back here and we’re glad we found this little gem.
This place is awesome! It is family owned and operated and has been here for over 25 years. The staff are friendly and the food is great. One of the best fry stands I have been too. Highly recommended!
I am changing my Review on July 23, 2022 - Upon thinking about my review, I did not factor in the cost associated with running a business. This location would need to pay for the rental of the spot, the electricity, propane, wages. When I factor in all these expenses I can appreciate the charge of the fries. Just maybe lower the price on the gravy LOL Previous rating - Although the fries are great here. I gave my rating of a 2 stictly on pricing. We bought 3 small fries with gravy and it was $28.00. I find that the price is quite high. For the price alone we probably will not be back. Too bad too, because they were delicious.
