LOST JOHNNY POINT CAMPGROUND

We booked two nights here, reserving online from Texas. When we arrived we were shocked at the campsite we reserved. Not like the picture AT ALL. No tree cover, just stumps and brush piles everywhere. NBD, there was another site in the trees that was available for the two nights we were staying. Should be no big deal to get a site swap right? Done it 100 times before. It’s pretty standard. Nope, camphost says I must forfeit my current reservation funds and charges us again for two nights to stay in the available site. We had nowhere else to go since it was around the Solar Eclipse and everywhere was booked. So even though the site was available he charged us double to move. This is exactly why we go on these trips and camp; to get away from money grubbing self interested folks who value money over people. This camphost was a complete shock to the system. I have never run into one so tightly wound and callous.

We had a horrible experience camping this weekend. The camp host was a Nazi you couldn't move a stick without him screaming at you. Ran into other guests who were having issues with the host as well.

Great place to take the family and relax. Good fishing, and easy access to the reservoir.
