We ordered the New York Strip Steak, the Chef’s Special Lord, and a pasta dish. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying, and the quality of the food was truly impressive.nThe steak was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful marinade with a delicious, rich flavour. It was tender, juicy, and absolutely enjoyable. The pasta with chicken was also cooked beautifully and had a great taste and balance of flavours.nThe atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a special dinner, and we chose this place to celebrate a birthday. It created a lovely experience overall.nnThe only minor issue was that the staff seemed a little rushed. As soon as we finished our meals, they came to clear the plates immediately without giving us a few extra moments to relax and enjoy the end of our dinner. Sometimes, especially during a special occasion, guests appreciate having a little time before the dishes are taken away.nnOverall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food, and we would definitely consider coming back.
This place is a hidden gem. Although there are no windows, it adds to the coziness once you are seated and taking in your surroundings. We went during the holidays with the ceiling Christmas decorations in full effect. Everything we ate here was delicious. The liver pate made in house served as an appetizer was the best I've ever had. The escargot went well with the lemon butter and baguette. Caesar salad is an obvious must try, and the best I've had anywhere so far. The mains were the wagyu and delmonico bone in steak which were both amazing with their sides. And an absolute must have for the dessert was the sticky toffee pudding, although the gingerbread cheese cake was just as good. We will definitely be coming back for the sticky coffee pudding alone!
We finally had the chance to try Lord Nelson, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation.nnFrom the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Our server was genuinely one of the best we’ve had, friendly, professional, incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and Burlington’s history, and passionate about making sure we had a great experience. You can tell when someone truly enjoys what they do, and it made the evening that much more memorable.nnWe started with the oysters, followed by the tableside Caesar salad, which was such a great touch and perfectly prepared. For our mains, we had the lobster and steak, and both were cooked flawlessly. Every course was fresh, beautifully presented, and exactly what you’d expect from a classic upscale steakhouse.nnIt’s becoming harder to find restaurants where both the food and the service are equally outstanding, but Lord Nelson delivers on both. This wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience. We left already talking about what we’ll order on our next visit.nnHighly recommend if you’re looking for a true fine dining experience in Burlington. Five stars without hesitation.
Great night out with exceptional service and great food in a lovely restaurant. This was our first time at Lord Nelson and most definitely will not be the last. Everything was amazing and we completely enjoyed our evening. Great value as well. We saw a lot of other people celebrating milestones on the evening so great spot to do so. It was our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience.
Went for our early Valentines dinner there based on the recommendation of a relative. From the outside the restaurant looked kind of out of place for done dining.nIt changed once we got I side. The ambiance was nice enough , our server was amazing . The apps were great, The steaks were cooked to perfection. And the mushrooms on the side were so good that I packed the remaining ones.nDefinitely one of the top 3 steak houses I. The Halton region.
