Lokum Eats
"Lokum is known as Turkish delight in western world. It became very popular in 18th century in Europe. Many confectionaries tried to find its’ secret to replicate it; however, with not much success. Lokum is not just a sweet treat for the Turkish people, it is also a way to greet guests, therefore, I named my company Lokum Eats. My guests will always have lokum at any event that is hosted by Lokum Eats. It is a sign of hospitality, friendship and goodwill. Lokum Eats will carry this tradition on."

Very delicious and delightful atmosphere! The staff were very ready and kindly helpful in getting us anything we needed! As an Eastern European myself, it was so great to have something like this pop up in the Junction! A pleasant surprise, but a welcome one to be sure. I can't speak of its authenticity, but the quality is damn good! Just be careful, it's spiced as is most cuisines like this! Don't go expecting bland food - and I mean that in the best way possible! Highly recommended!!!
What a place! I've been to Istanbul many times and will go more in the foreseen future and I'm in love with Turkish food. Now I know where to go to experience it here in Toronto. Tasty, authentic, clean, perfectly balanced! The service is also very "Turkish" - you feel so welcome! Will go there many more times, and bring the loved one.
Beautiful restaurant, exceptionally clean, and DELICIOUS food. Had the menemen from the breakfast menu, which I highly recommend. The server was so friendly and helpful, and suggested a gluten free alternative to the side offered. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
My experience at Lokum Eats was a delightful journey into the flavors of Turkey. The appetizers provided a tantalizing introduction to the meal, and the Turkish ravioli was a standout dish that left a lasting impression. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to explore authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Lokum Eats stands out as one of the cleanest Turkish establishments in Toronto. Their menu is quite diverse, and they excel at presenting traditional Turkish home-cooked dishes in a modernized way. The presentation is meticulous, and the flavors are fantastic. I highly recommend Lokum Eats to anyone looking to experience Turkish cuisine in Toronto!
Had a great lunch here today under an hour for those on a lunch break! Enjoyed a side salad, beef manti, and some complimentary very fresh bread with a dish of olive oil and olive paste. The decor was lovely, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, fresh, and very, very authentic. I don't usually comment on bread, but this bread was sooo good and was served hot. I definitely recommend for a weekday lunch and looking forward to coming back again soon.
Lokum Eats is a Turkish restaurant that should not be overlooked by the Junction community. The chef and proprietor, Tuba, has created a space that is all about authentic traditional Turkish home cooking. Their menu includes a variety of Mezes, Appetizers and Main dishes all of which sound very appealing. Upon sitting, a tapenade with their delicious baked bread was brought to our table by Tuba. We were instantly delighted by her warm hospitality. For our mezes we chose the Hummus, which came with bread. I lived in the Middle East and have had some amazing hummus but I really think this is the best. It was all in the depth of flavour and mix of herbs that topped it. For her main dish my partner chose the Vegetarian Begendi; roasted eggplant with béchamel sauce and fresh kashar cheese topped mushrooms and peppers braised in tomato sauce. I had the Grape Molasses Chicken; chicken thighs marinated in grape molasses, orange juice and spicy pepper paste. It comes with a small house salad and both dishes came with rice. Both dishes were full of wonderful flavours known to us and some that were new. We capped off our dinner with the house Turkish Coffee Service and a a delicious chocolate cake. I highly recommend checking this place out. You won’t regret it. We will be back.
If I could more stars I would. This is by far the best Turkish breakfast in Toronto. Everything was fresh, high quality and delicious. The whipped feta labneh was the stuff dreams are made of. So happy to have this in the Junction!Food: 5/5
The best Turkish food in Toronto. I grew up in Türkiye for my first 18 years and no other restaurant in Toronto has taken me back to the home cooked style of Turkish food. Keep in mind - this isn’t a döner place like a lot of the other Turkish restaurants, so this may be a bit of an unfair comparison. This place serves home style food that you may find if you’re invited to dinner at someone’s home in Türkiye. The Turkish restaurant experience hasn’t been easy to find, for a couple of reasons: 1 Turkish hospitality, service. 2 Variety of home-style food. Lokum Eats ticks both of these boxes for me. I’ve been here about 4 times now and it’s definitely become a regular for me. Tuba brings the the true Turkish hospitality and is wonderful. The Sultan’s Delight is a must try, one of the best things I’ve had. Other favourites are the mezes and the manti. Fresh complimentary bread also is amazing. If you want a taste of quality Turkish Holme style food, this is the place to go. Couldn’t recommend enough! September 2023 edit: We visited their new location. The standards have remained high and I was once again blown away by the hospitality, the food, and the beautiful decor of their new spot! In my eyes Lokum Eats remains the best Turkish food I have had in Canada, and I have tried at least 15 spots on the GTA.
Stumbled on this hole in the wall restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Its a lowkey eatery that serves traditional turkish cuisine. I had the beef manti and salgam suyu, it was delicious. The manti was juicy and flavorful, topped with herbs and creamy yogurt. The lunch portion is plenty for a single person too. The server was really eager to help and explain all the dishes. Would 100% recommend if you're in the area.
