Loblaws City Market

Pleasant indeed. This store is lovely, corporate price increases and policy do make it harder to shop here.nPeople are wonderful, every department, truly a nice place to be.nSome things out of their control in store lose a star, but keep in mind this is not your cute little neighborhood grocer, this is a part of the massive Loblaws Empire.

We purchased something for our office but there was something on the product. I will not go into further details.nnManagement were very diligent and proactive in solving the “hiccups”. I was also promised by the night manager, that he would talk and further investigate, to make sure it does not happen again.nnThe Owner was true to his words. Very gracious gentleman to come in, and personally hand delivered in our office some beautiful flowers and plant.nnThank you for everything: for really listening, and being proactive in finding solutions.nnKindest Regards.

Hidden deep within Loblaws City Market is one of the most inexpensive breakfast sandwich places on the North Shore. $5.50 gets you a delicious BELT bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato AND a medium coffee. I could understand if the BELT was horrible and the coffee sucked, but they are both delicious and made by a friendly City Market employee. Pro tip: have your parking validated at customer service while they make your sandwich. A tragic update: as of Nov, 2023, it is no longer possible to get a breakie sandwich from Fatima/Grace. The cafeteria is closed, and a Starbucks has opened. Enjoy!

I go to this store all the time and find staff esp. at the checkout very nice but today at the lottery section I was standing there wanting to buy lotto tickets and there are 2 staff there talking , cleaning her phone they just pass by me and continue with there conversation as if they dont see me. I have to ask if I can buy lottery to get their undivided attention from each other.

One of the priciest supermarkets, offering a limited selection of low-quality products with consistently low stock. Their food choices are restricted, and even the smallest bags of groceries come at a steep price, costing at least a hundred bucks for just a few items. The overall appearance of the store is nice, though. We opted to stop shopping here due to the combination of high prices and subpar product quality.
