Liquid Salon

I had the worst haircut of my entire life at this salon and have since told everyone I know not to go there! The manager saw me, I had been growing my hair out for months from a super short pixie. I asked for a simple trim and to make sure it stayed curly and not flat ironed. In what seemed like two seconds she chopped all of my hair right off, (from chin length to above my ears!!) then proceeded to try and iron it to make it look longer. Clearly she gave me the haircut she thought I should have, not what I actually asked for. Everyone told me how awful it looked and I had to wear a hat for months until it grew out again! WORST SALON EVER!!!

Like so many others, I used to be a hair dressers worst nightmare. I jumped from stylist to stylist, in between botched boxed dye jobs and failed attempts at cutting my own hair. I knew my hair needed rescuing, so I started searching for an experienced stylist online. I came across Liquid salon and Niki's portfolio. I was impressed immediately. Booking was easy and Niki and her staff were so friendly and welcoming when I arrived for my appointment. Niki and I discussed my hair history and what needed to be done to bring my hair back to life and look beautiful again. I have always been anxious putting my hair into the hands of a new stylist, (I think most people are), but this was different. I felt confident in Niki's ability to steer me in the right direction. And she did. Which is why 3+ years later I'm a loyal client and refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. Not to mention she's amazing at accomodating my two young kids, and my 3yo asks for haircuts so he can come visit Niki too! Niki and Jess treat us like family and have become great friends to visit with when I'm in town even when I don't have an appointment. (I forgot to mention I live out of town and don't hesitate to commute!) Her rates are very reasonable and quality surpasses any other I have experienced in the past. Thank you Niki (and Jess!) For being passionate about what you do!

Recently I was wanting a change in colour, and my mom recommended I see Nikki while visiting guelph. Nikki graciously squeezed me in on a Saturday evening since I was only in town for the day. Nikki looked at what I wanted and made her recommendations based on my hair type. I had a lot of fun talking to her and she made me a tea (one of my new faves now). You can tell Nikki is very passionate about her craft. My hair came out better than I imagined and I have been getting daily compliments ever since. It looks super natural and works great with my texture. I have never been this happy with a hairstylist. Thank you so much Nikki, I'll be for sure going back even though I live in Toronto.

Nicki is brilliant at helping you find the best look for you. She can do both traditional hair and the latest styles. My colour always turns out beautifully. She's fast, efficient, kid friendly. Highly recommended.

Love love loooove this salon! Worth the drive from Whitby to Guelph each time just to have Niki cut & colour my hair. I even brought my toddler with me and while mama got pampered with a new hairstyle, colour & eyebrow wax, he had a blast colouring and watching Disney movies! Great atmosphere, great coffee, great conversation, a plethora of talent and stellar results!
