Story

La Luma Salon and Academy is committed to education, transformation and mobilization. These three pillars guide the experience offered to both our students and guest every day. We are committed to offering consistent education; by delivering technical systems that are easy to recreate, by providing products that work, and by offering professional recommendations that allow our guests and students to powerfully choose. We stand for transformation. Whether that is collaborating with a guest to step into a new style, standing for a student to jump into the unknown, or supporting someone to let go of the stress of their day. We are dedicated to mobilizing leaders. We stand for our students and guests to take action and get the results that they want for their hair, their career and their lives.

Okay first of all, this is the first place I've ever gotten my hair dyed  or anything done professionally. Each time I go there, my hair stylist Kathy has always done an excellent job and leaves me smiling. La Luma is a professional and affordable place for those living in Guelph looking for a salon; that will give you a professional service, but an honest opinion on your hair - and tell you how to take care of it. I have been going here for about to years now, and will keep coming back because I have never left dissatisfied.  I suggest going to Kathy because, she always does such an amazing job, and her wonderful personality makes the experience even better.

I got my hair done by a student with a master guiding her. I am so in love with my hair colour I have never had such a beautiful colour it is so rich. Very impressed even now that it has faded out it looks even better! Thanks ladies :)

I had a great experience at La Luma Salon! The staff was very nice, the place had a good vibe, and the service was excellent. I was even a little bit late for my appointment, and they were very understanding. I got my hair cut by Lauren, and she was fantastic! Possibly the best cut I have ever received! She spent some time with me beforehand trying to learn more about me and figure out what kind of style best suited my needs, which is something that no other barber has done with me. I basically put it in her hands to decide for me, and I am very happy with the result! She also gave me some great recommendations on new styling paste, and I've been using it every day since then. I will definitely be back to see her again!

I’ve gone to the salon for quite a few years now. I started with just students who were amazing - but only got to work with them once or twice as they graduated. They did awesome work and were always supervised and taking second opinions. I then moved to work with Kathy who has surpassed all my expectations always thinking of new things and new ways to be creative! The girls are always so welcoming and lovely to be around. As someone who doesn’t trust salons or their products for the most part this place is pure gold and I absolutely love it! ♥️♥️

Absolutely amazing service for an absolutely reasonable price. The products they use for colour correcting and lighting are super. Highly recommend this place and their students!
