Definitely a fancy, upscale place, but the ideas and execution is good enough that you feel you get your money's worth. The menu is perfect. The fact that you can start with a pho and end with a lemon tart, why haven't French-Vietnamese fusion blown up already?
First time here and it was recommended by a friend. Loved the menu and wish we could've tried more of it. Liya was fantastic. She gave great background on the dishes and was helpful in deciding how much to order for our family of 4.nnPho was incredible, beef very tender and broth so flavourful yet light.nnBeef Wellington was great and a perfect portion for two. The peppercorn sauce is really good and Liya generously brought us bread to enjoy the rest of the sauce with.nnDessert included the Lemon tart and Sable Breton. The kids made the sable disappear in record time while I got to enjoy a few bites of the Lemon tart before my wife claimed the rest.nnOverall it was a great experience, with superb service, and a must try if you are in downtown Vancouver.
I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The standout of the evening was undoubtedly the impeccable service provided by Lyia. Her friendly smile made us feel instantly at ease. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations.
The food is delicious but our server the young South Korean lady, Lia is so amazing! She’s very helpful, gave an exemplary professional service. She has such a lovely personality and always smiling. She was efficient and so hospitable! Lia got all our orders correctly. She’s such an asset to Lihn Cafe!
We really enjoyed the French and Vietnamese food here. Came here on a Saturday and was able to get seated right away as a party of 4.nnWe ordered fried frog legs, spicy bread stick, beef tartare, mimosa salad, red shrimp and pho with added rare beef. All the dishes were really tasty, with my favorite being the fried frog leg. I’ve had frog legs before but none can compare to the flavor and tenderness of these! Spicy bread stick was also a highlight because of its crunchy texture and rich & spicy flavor working super well together.nn-1 star - I did think some of the dishes are overpriced, for example $22 for a salad or $12 for a single spring roll
