Bu Cha Ca Hoang Yen is a hidden gem! Their fish noodle soup is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the fish is incredibly fresh and tender. The noodles are cooked to perfection and have a wonderful texture that pairs so well with the broth.nThe portion sizes are generous, and the presentation is always on point. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.nIf you're looking for a comforting, delicious meal, Bu Cha Chang is a must-visit spot. I can't recommend it enough – I’ll definitely be coming
We traveled a long way just to try their famous Bun Cha Ca Vietnamese fish cake noodle soup, and it was absolutely worth it.nnThe restaurant has that classic Vietnamese feel, adorned with traditional artwork and colorful neon lights. Staff hustle nonstop, handling a flood of takeout orders and packed tables with impressive speed. By 11:30 a.m., the place was buzzing, with a line out the door.nnWe ordered the Bun Cha Ca, and I have to say, it was bursting with incredible flavors. The broth had a subtle fish umami, beautifully balanced with fresh dill, tomatoes, elephant ear stalks, and a hit of fried shallots. The star, of course, was the fish cakes, which came in tender slices, savory balls, and crispy fried ball pieces. Simply amazing!nnThis has to be one of my favorite Vietnamese noodle soups. It’s rare to find something this special beyond the usual Pho or Bun Bo Hue, and it’s a gem to have it available here.nnThe staff was super friendly and quick with our orders. Left feeling happy and fully satisfied!
My wife heard that this restaurant was well-known for Bun Cha Ca. Upon entering the restaurant, we found it still quite busy.nnMy wife ordered the Bun Cha Ca aka Special Fish Cake with Vermicelli in Soup and combo'd it with a Salad Roll. My wife thought that the meal was impressive and very authentic. She loves the flavor of the soup base.nnMy kids and I shared a Pho Nam. The flavor was delicious and better than others that I have had. The noodles were up to expectations while the beef flank slices were tender and beefy.nnMy wife also enjoyed a Tamarind Juice, and the kids shared a Strawberry Smoothie.nnMy wife definitely wants to come back as the food here met her expectations.
I live in Coquitlam, and it was so delicious that I dined with my family twice in the past 10 days. This is the best Vietnamese pho I’ve ever had in Vancouver!
Either the place has gone downhill or the reviews by others are false. The restaurant wasnt busy but there was only 1 person taking the order, running the till and servicing the food. The tea cups were dirty, the fork was stained from the previous user. The spring rolls and the Vietnamese sandwich was served in the same basket I don’t think is cleaned and it didn’t have a paper or tissue to separate the food from the basket that I’m pretty confident hasn’t been cleaned or washed. My beef bowl of noodle had slime texture floating in it…. Absolutely revolting. Will not be coming back for sure…
