Delicious Vietnamese food! I understand now why this place awarded for 3 2022-2024 consecutive years the Michelin guide. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere with a nice tropical decoration. Staff is friendly, our waitress has an exceptional knowledge of the dishes and made good recommendations. Food feels authentic and tasty, the spring rolls were crispy in the outside but juicy and rich in flavors in the inside, plus the sweet-citric sauce combined perfectly with it, the beef noodle soup was amazing, the broth had an intense flavor, super yummy, big portion for 2 people easily, the sorbet was the grand finale, the fruit flavors were extraordinary. I will definitely go back to try other items of the menu. This was a pleasant food experience. The only negative point is the wait list around 30-40 minutes, understandable due to the good food quality served in here, but people that arrived after us, entered first, which was not quite fair.
Absolutely loved our experience at Anh and Chi! The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and we left feeling more than satisfied. The appetizers were fantastic and set the tone for a great meal. Their drinks were also amazing — creative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. On top of all that, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. Highly recommended and definitely a place I’d love to come back to!
I love coming here with family, and want to try the entire menu, yet always settle on the beef vermicelli bowl - it’s a must try, and perfect every time.nnSam is one of the most exceptional servers we’ve ever had, and makes our visit to Anh and Chi excellent every time.nnP.s. order an extra grilled chicken skewer and spring rolls with your vermicelli bowl
Anh & Chi means brother and sister in Vietnamese. This restaurant was previously opened by the parents and they wanted to closed down. However, the kids decided to continue the restaurant with a completely new concept and big renovations. If you have previously visited the old restaurant, pho hoang, you will be blown away on how it looks now. There was amazing service from beginning to end. It is a very comfortable and has a social atmosphere that fits perfectly on Main St.nnNow here we go, the food is make or break. We ordered the street platter and it is delicious! You basically grab the rice sheet, dip it in hot water so it's aldente, cause it's gonna get soft with the excess water on it. Place it on your plate and throw the ingredients in, then start rolling! Dip that rice roll in the sauce and BAM. My friend accidentally ordered the spring rolls not knowing the platter came with it. No worries, the more the merrier right? They are delicious! It had taro inside. I would love to try the other items next time. Btw the host ask if we wanted to share a table and we said yes. We didn't care, we are social people and are very comfortable with strangers.nnDessert is lovely. My friend ordered the sorbet which is very refreshing and a nice end to the savory meats we had on our platter. I ordered the coffee icecream and wow... There it is, my eyes closed again lol. Mild rich, medium strength coffee, essence of coffee bean grinds on top. The icecream is in-house made too.nnAmbience is very very nice. Even the washrooms have a open concept.nThere's four unisex stalls, and a common area to wash your hands. Pretty dam cool.nnParking is cheap all around, there's even free parking on the side streets. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, hand claps to the brother and sister. How in the world did they have this vision to revamp a concept to this degree? What a great addition to main street. Anh and Chi is absolutely worth the hype—delicious, flavorful, and a total must-visit in Vancouver!nWe had such a great time here. The menu is full of variety and packed with bold, umami-rich flavors. We tried their famous Vietnamese pancake Bánh Xèo and it was incredible—crispy, savory, and totally crave-worthy. It does take about 30–40 minutes to prepare, but honestly, it’s 100% worth the wait.nnWe also had the candied sablefish dish and wow—it was amazing. Melt-in-your-mouth, sweet and savory perfection. And there was this noodle dish can’t remember the name! that was equally delicious and comforting.nnWe were on the waitlist but ended up getting a table for two in just 10 minutes, which was such a nice surprise. The inside is super cute and cozy, and the bathrooms oddly gave me nostalgic Asia vibes—in the best way possible!nnIt’s definitely on the pricier side, $25-$40 but for the experience, quality, and flavor, it’s so worth it.nnHighly recommend for date nights, friend catch-ups, or just treating yourself to next-level Vietnamese food with a modern twist.
