5/5 Second time here. Neat little place if you're into plants. This place is free, but you do need to make online reservations to go in. I arrived prior to my reservation and I was still able to go in. It's right next to the zoo, so if you come during winter time, this would be a great place for you to warm up. They have some interesting plants, and the people there are very helpful in answering all your questions related to plants. It'll take about 15-20 minutes for you to walk through the entire place depending on how many pictures you want to take.
Peaceful place for plant lovers and a great place to feel like you're in nature on a cold day. I found street parking but there is a parking lot if you're willing to pay for it. Reachable by public transportation as well. I enjoyed the statues, the orchids, ferns and palms and variety of beautiful foliage.
Beautiful experience at the LP Conservatory. So relaxing and enriching for the eyes. The staff was also very approachable and informative --they really cared about the plants and contributed to a positive visit. Also it's free! With recommended and well-deserved donation.
Love this place. Beautiful century+ old classic glass conservatory architecture, filled to the brim with plants, flowers, koi and turtles. The blossoms in one room were so outrageously brilliant in color I thought we'd walked into a Willy Wonka creation. The huge trees are impressive, everywhere budding and fruiting and blooming. Tons of different orchids. Tons of ferns. The entire place is beautiful and uplifting. The fact that admission is still free is remarkable. Please make a donation when you're there and help keep this place going. Highly recommend.
A very nice place for naturalist with lots of rare plants. The fern house and orchid house are amazing. Turtles and fish can be found in small pools here as well. Online reservation is needed before visit.
Absolutely loved the Lincoln Park Conservatory! Such cute rooms with slightly different themes in each one - the fern room was my favorite! They had a great variety of plant to look at and the staff were so friendly describing some of the more unique ones there was to see. Entrance is free but be sure to book a ticket online beforehand because you do need a reservation for a time window in order to enter.
It is a great place to visit and enjoy the beautiful flowers and plants. Walking distance to the zoo. Free. So donate at your visit to help them maintain the beautiful place.
You can drive or take a bus to get here. There is a bus stop directly in front. If you’re driving, parking is free on Stockton drive, or pay and park in the lot behind. Make sure you book a time slot online. It is free though. As far as how the place is, this is a plant haven. So many gorgeous species, all well taken care of. I would say this is smaller than the Garfield conservatory but not that small either. Visit @ajitho.photography on insta for more :
So much to see and learn. The Nutcracker display was beautiful. Restrooms were clean and was easy to get there taking the 151 Bus.
This is an outstanding collection of gardens. The fern room is the best that I've ever seen: lush, packed, creative, healthy, and with dashes of intimate micro-zones. In fact the entire collection of plants exhibits meticulous and loving care by the staff. The conservatory buildings are beautiful and they successfully assist with creating several appropriate climates.
