A strong 4 star experience. The space is somewhat oddly arranged with a counter set well away from the entrance that had us wondering about the seating arrangements on arrival. Alternatively, there are tasteful touches throughout the space that set a nice ambiance. Service was engaged but could have been slightly more attentive. Food was impressive all things considered. Ordered chive dumplings, chicken fried rice and Namprik Lao stir fryveggie. Found each to be enjoyable and made us eager to return to expand our menu experience. The food is what sells this place and makes it worth the try.
I've only been here once for the wing special, was it worth it? Not really, the portions are pretty good but the wings lack on flavor. I would recommend the barbeque Chipotle ones. The rest are lacking in flavor.
Very good, fresh Thai Food. Their chicken pad Thai was very good. This is our favorite Thai in Chicago.
We stopped in for lunch on a whim and I was very happy we did. The food was very flavorful, the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had decent portions for the price with some leftover. Atmosphere was nice and the music playing was enjoyable. This restaurant should have been packed.. I feel enough people may not know about it however I hope they stay for awhile.
Wonderful experience. So many choices for food, they have a separate full vegetarian menu!! The service is excellent, and the food is beautiful, fresh and made with love. Spoke with the chef and she was so kind and willing to talk about the food. Highly recommend. The decor is really creative and the space is super clean.
The waitress was very accommodating and the food was good. There was definitely a ton of it in my to go order. I had the curry chicken rice and while it was good, I think it needs a bit more.. Curry maybe? But I was very satisfied. They have a lunch buffet on mon-fri so I'm def coming back!
We were in the mood for some Thai food and came across Lime Leaf just downtown. The interior space is nicely decorated and everything is kept immaculately clean I'm a stickler for that especially because allot of Thai restaurants I've been too should model themselves after this one. Service wise, the hosts are very attentive and the food is on the table fast without sacrificing any of the quality. The owners are apparently from Thailand which makes the food authentic. We had some chicken wings for appetizers as well as peanut chicken and calamari. Each of them very delicious and fresh. The meat comes right off of the chicken wings. The peanut chicken was moist and the sauce was delicious. Actually the best peanut sauce I've had. I wish they sold bottles of it there... Same goes for the calamari. Not chewy like I find in most restaurants and again, delicious sauce to compliment. If you're a "sauce guy" like I am then you will thoroughly enjoy the food here. For the main courses we had some soups and I recommend the fried enoki mushrooms as I have not found these ever before again with awesome sauce. The basil chicken dish was ok but I was underwhelmed by the lack of flavor. Could just be a personal preference... The crispy noodle dish was my favorite especially with the massaman like sauce. I've had them in other Thai restaurants before but nothing beat this one. Even though I ate allot I didn't feel bloated like I usually do from fried food options. Thai iced coffee was also delicious but I would skip the taro dessert next time as apparently I do not like that flavor. Again, I think this is just a matter of preference... I will be back next time I'm in the area.
Great experience! Service was fantastic, and it has such a cool vibe with the garden walls and hanging lights. Highlight of my visit was seeing the Christmas train go by overhead through the huge front windows. Food was excellent, plenty of vegetarian/vegan options for me and meat options for my friend. I got a Larb chickpea salad which was spicy, delicious, and surprisingly felt light and healthy. The portion sizes are huge and great value for price. I look forward to going back and trying everything else on the menu!
Excellent renditions of a limited selection of menu items. Calm, relaxed atmosphere but unnecessarily high prices, probably due to its downtown location. $20.00 for 2 eggrolls and a lg bowl of Tom Yum soup! Waitress was initially preparing to approach me with the "less than welcome" attitude as there were very few people of color present myself and 2 other carry out patrons. I encouraged her to treat me with respect and consideration by being my usual, polite, well spoken self.
Stopped in for dinner on way to show at the Auditorium. Hadn't been there since days of My Thai. Not very hungry and tired of the Pad Thai and Chicken Curry we usually get at Thai places, so resolved to try something new. We ordered Chu Chee Noodles and Fried Roti with Massaman Curry. Wow - both dishes were great. So good, in fact, that my wife suddenly didn't want to share dishes as we have at the last 100 Asian places we've eaten. Before we were done, she said - this is where we're always coming before a show. Loved it.
