Life Time Westchester in West Harrison, NY, offers a comprehensive fitness experience that blends luxury amenities with a wide range of activities. Here’s an overview based on member feedback and available facilities:nnnn HighlightsnnExtensive Amenities: Members praise the variety of facilities, including multiple pickleball and tennis courts, basketball courts, squash courts, a rock climbing wall, indoor and outdoor pools, and a dedicated Kids Academy. nnWellness and Recovery: The club features cedarwood saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, whirlpools, and a LifeSpa offering hair, nail, and massage services. nnFamily-Friendly Environment: With childcare services and family-oriented programs, it’s a suitable choice for families seeking a holistic health club experience. nnnn ConsiderationsnnCrowding During Peak Hours: Some members note that the facility can become overcrowded, especially during weekend mornings and weekday evenings. nnCleanliness Concerns: There have been reports regarding the cleanliness of locker rooms and showers, with some members expressing dissatisfaction. nnMembership Cost: The premium pricing, reportedly around $300 per month, has been a point of contention for some, especially when considering the aforementioned issues.nnnn Final ThoughtsnnLife Time Westchester stands out for its extensive amenities and family-friendly offerings. However, potential members should weigh the benefits against concerns about crowding, cleanliness, and cost. Visiting during off-peak hours and taking a tour can provide a clearer picture of whether it aligns with your fitness and wellness goals.
FRONT DESK IS THE WORST! WHO ARE THESE NEW HIRES?nI’ve been a loyal member at Lifetime Westchester for some time now, and I’ve noticed a concerning decline in the quality of service at the front desk. There are three individuals in particular—two of whom were working todayApril 10th—whose demeanor consistently lacks the professionalism and warmth expected at a premium facility.nnOne is a woman with long red hair, and the other is a newer male staff member with a tan complexion and crew cut hair. Despite multiple visits, neither has ever greeted me or acknowledged my presence with a smile or a simple “hello,” even when I’ve initiated a greeting. They often appear preoccupied with their phones, which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. An older blonde woman at the front desk exhibits a similar lack of courtesy.nnAs a business owner myself, I understand how critical front-facing staff are to creating a positive first impression. At nearly $400 a month, members deserve to be welcomed with professionalism and basic courtesy. I still remember when Adam and Nicole were at the front desk—they were friendly, attentive, and set a much higher standard for member experience.nnIt’s disappointing to see the overall member experience at Lifetime Westchester diminish, especially as the club grows in popularity. I hope to see a renewed focus on service and hospitality soon.
The absolute worst yoga classes I have ever been to. It’s really stretching to horrible music in a heated room. Totally unprofessional instructors. I love my yoga and they don’t have real yoga classes here. Absolute trash. On the upside, my daughter really enjoys the swimming lessons and I can work out for 25 minutes while she’s in them. I like that they have a children’s center with activities, but when my daughter was rock climbing for the first time, the instructors were texting on their phone the whole time! Also, they don’t have fresh pressed juice which I feel is a total miss for a gym. I would love to be able to work out and then get a fresh juice with a wheatgrass or ginger shot after! Lastly, good luck with parking. They should have a staff section for parking. So much potential here if they tightened up!!! Which they should definitely be able to do considering the membership price!!! Yoga classes are so bad it’s sad!!!
Absolutely not worth it for a young person/couple without children. We received an email in April stating that as “loyal members” over 5 years we would not have to pay an additional fee for the summer. Less than 1 month later we received another email raising our fee by $80 per month and reason was to “upgrade” the club. I have not seen any upgrades as in recent months there is no parking, you have to wait for treadmills and showers, the hot tubs are closed half the time and dirty the other half of the time, and the staff are nasty when you voice your concerns. There are male children in the female locker room and after speaking to staff it multiple times and getting nothing, a staff member told me that the signs stating male children should not be in the female locker room are outdated. There are also screaming children in the adult locker rooms even though there is a family locker room and in also the hot tubs that say ages 12 and up. Staff turns a blind eye to it and does nothing by to address any of these issues. If you want a calm and private “luxury fitness center” and do not want to wait in line for equipment and a shower, and are not looking for the ambiance of an elementary school recess yard, I suggest you find another club.
I have been a member for years at Lifetime since it first opened. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my membership as the gym changed completely. At this location they used to be very clean, now it isn’t clean as before, steam room smells , floors are dirty. Sauna has stains, floors in the locker room are disgusting you can’t even walk without shoes because you’ll literally have hair all over your feet from the floors. I had to cancel my membership for several reasons but mostly I am very unsatisfied with the service this gym provides and they have raised the price for $300 per person. When you try to cancel for many dissatisfied reasons and you explain the current situation your in as well on why you need to cancel they only care about the 30 day policy and will not allow you to cancel, they will charge you regardless. I contacted the gym and stated I can no longer afford the gym and how dissatisfied I am and Nicole at the concierge before stated they could override the 30 day policy as complementary if I put my account on hold for the time being then however now I have decided to completely cancel and Nicole is no longer going with her word in overriding the 30 day policy since I decided to cancel. This gym is money hungry and filthy. Unfortunately it is not the same anymore. I do not recommend.
