Prana Fitness - Westchester Gym

Absolutely best gym experience. Very small private groups, everyone is friendly and motivates each other. My wife and I go every morning at 6am and love it.

I signed up for and paid $300 for the 6 week challenge at Prana Fitness. I was told I would get a personalized meal plan and be able to work out up to 5 times a week for 6 weeks. I was asked to email them on the Sunday prior with dates I would be able to work out as they would like to limit the number of people at each session. I did this and NEVER received a response. Additionally the "meal plan" that was sent to me was not at all personalized and included items like "10 grams of fat." I emailed them requesting a refund as I felt the program was not organized and I didn't feel comfortable moving forward. I received a very rude email back from the gym owner stating the following, "if ur that fast to quite well gladly refund you, it will take 2-3 weeks to show." I never received a refund and when I emailed them back after the 3 weeks they stated they will not issue me a refund now because it is through a 3rd party marketing company. Additionally, I asked for the contact information for the 3rd party marketing company and never received a response. I was finally able to obtain their contact information on my own and when I contacted them regarding what had happened they were appalled! They said they would absolutely refund me the full amount, which I received a few days later, and also stated they would likely drop Prana Fitness from their 6 week challenge program due to they why they treat their costumers. If I were you, I would AVOID PRANA FITNESS AT ALL COSTS!

I am currently working with the owner, Dan, to prepare for a physique competition. I have been to the gym numerous times and it's great. There are free weights, machines, and an open area for dynamic exercises. No treadmills, but I think if you speak with someone there they can show you how to achieve your fitness goals without them. I have enjoyed working with Dan. He seems to have a pretty steady yet wholistic approach, asking about more than just gym progress, but also other areas of life and how they affect results. I meet with him in person on occasion, which I find more comforting than online coaches. He is easy to talk to and has made my experience preparing for the competition run smoothly so far. The competition is in November, I have been working with Dan since March, and my body has definitely changed and grown. I will be sure to update this review after the competition as well.

Prana Fitness has a formula combining mobility and flexibility exercises, resistance training , aerobic conditioning, diet, stretching, and mediation that really works! I'm a guy in his mid-50s, ex-college football player and rower, career as a commodity trading exec, who spent literally decades at expensive gyms like Lifetime Athletic, Equinox, LA Fitness, etc., trying to combat stress, pursuing health and fitness. But inevitably joint pain, inflammation, and weight gain set in and began dragging me down. After I discovered Daniel two years ago, my life has changed. He taught me how to transform myself. I'm fit again, 25 lbs. lighter, no pain, and flexible so I can roll around on the floor with my young kids, I feel good all the time, more energized, like I was 30 again! No drugs, no gimmicks. This guy and his team know fitness and how to produce results. Wish I had found Prana 30 years ago and not wasted all that money and TIME on those expensive health clubs.

I went to Prana Fitness with a friend to check it out. After meeting the trainers and seeing the facility I was convinced that this was the gym to go to. The trainers really pay attention to my goals, gave me a specific meal plan that has rendered results already and offer great workouts that optimize my ability to reach my goals. The best part of my experience at Prana Fitness is the education. The trainers DO NOT just tell you what to do but explain to you why you are doing it and make sure you understand. I would highly recommend visiting this gym.
