I really would like to give a 3.5 for the White Plains location as its pretty clean, for the most part friendly staff, decent group classes, a good amount of machines and pretty good offers for Personal Training. My only disappointment would be the closing of a group exercise class when the room is not at capacity. Tickets are given so a count of participants should not be hard to validate ESPECIALLY when the class is visably low in participation. Also in some cases people may not want to take an entire class maybe just 45 minutes. Oh well...I will be visiting other fitness outfits in the area to see their "at capacity - but not really at capacity" group excercise policy.
Worst Customer Support by the “General Manager named Mike” his inability and lack of care! I cancelled my membership and was still charged for 4 months after that and he said “I can help you” he didn’t seem intrested In helping me at all. He also gave me a bogus number when I asked for the contact information on some one higher to speak too.
Machines are broken or missing pieces for months at a time, lights are out, and weights are all over the place. The most disgusting part was that there was a band aid stuck to a dumbbell rack for at least a week and probably longer, but I hadn't picked up on it until Thanksgiving. I mentioned it to a staff member, was told it would be removed, and it wasn't. Talked to the manager who I also emailed about the broken equipment and it wasn't removed. I tweeted Crunch corporate, and it wasn't addressed. I finally took it off with paper towels, handed it to a staff member, and told them that I didn't want to throw it out because I wasn't sure if someone was sentimentally attached to it, since it was there for so long. They have a decent variety of stuff, but it's super annoying to hunt for clips and pins and weights, especially at peak hours. If they could manage to get equipment fixed in a timely fashion, keep the place clean and stocked with all necessary items, I imagine they would be much more successful and have happier members.
Given my travel job I finally decided after an year of not going to gym to cancel my membership. Called Crunch and they said I cant cancel on phone - so either I visit Mon-Fri in person when Manager is onsite or send a certified mail. Latter was not easy for me, so I decided to show up on Friday and the person Michele Fusca at gym tells they cant do it because manager is managing his other location. I insisted she should cancel it then, and she said she has no privileges and dont even have an option on computer. Sounds weird, I asked her to call manager, and she tells me she cannot catch hold of managers, and unfortunately gym members have to suffer because of that. Strange? Wait gets better. I insisted that this is just straight up ridiculous and once she saw me losing temper, she call manager from her cellphone and looks like now she got permission to cancel the computer story was BS. Further, she said that I have an option of sending mail - when I had to correct her that I was told 'certified mail' only, and then she admitted doesnt have to be certified mail. Clearly the absolute worst when it comes to efficiency, and the fact that you wouldnt even try to solve an issue shows clear incompetence of the staff.
Closed on 4/11. Gym was good enough. On the last day no one said anything, sneaky closing. I called, they better not charge me another month!
Worst gym I have ever been to - they will not let you cancel unless you send a certified letter even though I moved out of the area. 100% scum bags, I cannot say strongly enough DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these thieves.
Not the best experience I have, poor management, costumers are not treated fear , costumer can't plan a workout routine , I was in in a machine for three minutes and another costumer asked me if he can use that particular machine ,i told him he can use it as soon as I finish, it was enough for him to go to the front desk ,a manager came to me even though I wasn't using mentioned machine any more the manager approach me and told me that he want to use the machine.without even asking what was wrong he just assume that the customer that gave the complain was right, make me think he was not impartial, as a valuable costumer that was my last day.any costumer need to be treated with respect .thank you
No power racks........Also tons of people who have no idea what they are doing taking up all the dumbells. Saw one dude working out without a shirt on and cargo shorts. Why THO
Everyone is awesome very friendly front desk is on point they are always smiling it's a happy place ! If your looking for a personal trainer well Elvira the one to go to you won't be disappointed
I didn't like it and more than 10 Machines out of service, the bathroom is dirty and the gym is dirty too, I don't know about the other area but I'm talking about the one in white plains, is the worst gym ever I have been in my life
