Unprofessional and disorganize. I was asked to provide proof that I paid my rent during the time when they have not even managed the property and despite the information provided by the owner. How the email was worded was downright speculative. It did not end there, I was asked to pay for condo fees when I am renting a duplex house. They know your name but will not even acknowledge you by it, maybe because my name sounds foreign. Says a lot about how racist the staff are in this company. I am a licensed Property Manager and I know the process when a transition of management happens. It is a no-no to ask for information from tenants when you have other sources and definitely a no-no to speculate that a tenant has not paid rent worth 5k+. I requested for receipts considering this is how disorganize their accounting system is if there is even a system, but was just ignored. If you are a property owner, believed those negative reviews about this company because it a good and reliable source of how they perform. When I was doing this job, customer service is number 1, no matter the race, gender or background of a tenant is, I treat them with respect and I make efforts to remember and address them by their names. I have high expectations if the place I am renting is managed by a company, and this company is way to far from providing both excellent owner and tenant experience.
We have always had a great experience working with Libertas in Edmonton. The management team is extremely professional and knowledgeable - and we are always comfortable referring our clients. It's nice working with down to earth people as opposed to some of the other companies who really don't care about their clients or tenants. Highly recommended for sure.
We love working with this company. They are professional, quick to respond and awesome in customer service. Anytime we submit maintenance requests we have received prompt reponse. I intend to continue renting from Libertas and strongly recommend their properties. We couldn't be happier!
Great company that has managed my Edmonton property for years. Very organized and highly responsive. It is very difficult to find a firm that will take care of your property like it was their own. Highly recommended.
After trying to manage my own properties for a year, I was fortunate to find Libertas. Carolyn has been outstanding to work with for the last 11 years. In 11 years there was only 3 months without a tenant, the quality of the tenants has been excellent as well. The yearly summery makes doing the books simple and easy. It’s like the properties manage themselves. If you’re looking for a property management company I would highly recommend using Libertas.
I am an owner of several properties in Edmonton and Libertas Property Management has been looking after the rentals for many years now. As an owner I feel comfortable that they not only look after the maintenance of the houses and condos, keeping in mind the cost of replacement appliances and the advantage of buying new ones if my budget permits, but also looking after the tenants and their needs. They make recommendations concerning rent increases when leases are up for renewal, but keeping in perspective current market conditions as well as the tenants' ability to pay. They do an excellent job for for me, and I would recommend them to prospective owners and tenants.

Highly recommend avoiding this company to save yourself the hassle. We’ve had an extremely poor experience communicating with them to arrange viewings for potential rentals. The property manager even no-showed for a viewing after my husband left work early. Can never get through to their office by phone. My recommendation would be to reach out to casawise instead. They are responsive, a pleasure to deal with and super respectful.
Got added to the showing email list for a property and realized just how little notice they provide - left work for two hours in the middle of the day to view the apartment, arrived 10 minutes early and waited in front of the door. After 20 minutes 10 minutes late at this point the agent comes down from the apartment - he had gone up over 10 minutes early with one couple that was already there and not waited for anyone else. When he came back down and I asked if he was the agent he was extremely rude, and spent the entire 5 minute viewing telling me I should have been there earlier, it's not his fault, etc etc. On the way down he got snippy when I told him I was there with time to spare and told me that I shouldn't apply because I probably didn't make enough money to afford a place like that myself anyway. When I said it was comfortably in my budget he handed me the info sheet and said "I don't think I would apply if I were you". Disgusting behaviour. After that, I replied to their next viewing email to say I was no longer interested after their agents rude behaviour - still got 5 more emails from them though! Slimey.
