Hotel Montagnais Chicoutimi – 4.5/5nnWe stayed at Hotel Montagnais for 6 nights during a business trip and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is extremely convenient with everything you need like restaurants, shops, and other amenities just a short walk away, making it easy to get around without needing to drive.nnThe hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. Our room was a comfortable size for two people, and the beds were very cozy. The hotel always seemed busy with conferences, events, and guests enjoying the pool area, which gave it a lively atmosphere.nnAnother big plus is that the staff are bilingual, making communication easy for both French- and English-speaking guests. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful.nnThe only downside was the lack of a microwave in the room. Since we were meal prepping, we had to go from the third floor to the hallway microwave each time we wanted to heat our food. There was occasionally a short line, which could be a bit inconvenient.nnOn the positive side, the hotel has its own restaurant with decent priced menu options.nnOverall, I would rate Hotel Montagnais 4.5 out of 5 stars. The excellent location, comfortable accommodations, bilingual staff, and convenient amenities made for a great stay. The microwave situation was the only minor drawback.

We were just passing through, had no reservations in advance. I had looked up what was around and picked this. It was a good choice. Centerally located with lots of places to eat around, walking distance. We arrived at 8:30pm on a Sunday so most restaurants closed at 9. But the Fast food chains were all open until 11 and walking distance. Rooms are spacious and 2 queen beds were comfortable, although a bit hard. Each with 4 pillows we usually get 2 and have to ask for more. Bathroom however was small, and towels a bit rough. Otherwise it had the essentials. For a non planned last minute booking, I'm happy. I would come back.

Greta hotel, clean rooms equipped with everything you need. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. The stuff was very polite. And the location is great, as just across the hotel, there are plenty of options to eat/drink.

Great hotel that I always stay at when visiting the Chicoutimi area for work however I do not understand why the gym only opens at 7am when I want to get a workout in between 5am and 6am? I may have to reconsider staying at a different next time I am visiting the area

Good spot if your travelling through. Located in vicinity of a few restaurant options. Otherwise there is nothing around, typical suburban wasteland.nnThe food at the hotel was decent, service ok. Nice restaurant.nnPretty decent gym for a hotel and a nice swimming pool.nnWe really enjoyed the arcade games spot.
