Hôtel du Fjord

Room are very clean and well equipped, very calm, however the buffet is poor, poor poor, boiled eggs, bread, coffee, slice of cheese... Less than a kid meal.

This hotel is a historical building located in the downtown area of Chicoutimi Saguenay. Very nice room and friendly service.

This hotel is nicely located right next to the bus station and very close to the walkway bridge across the Saguenay river.nnWe stayed for five nights and took full advantage of the included breakfast and the numerous restaurants on Racine street that are very close by.nnPS: Don't forget to stop at the games store that shares a parking lot with this hotel!

Good location , Very courteous staff but old building and typical downtown issuesnnAs soon as you enter the building , we could smell smoke and alcohol as there is a pub on ground floor .nIf you are with family I would suggest some other hotel. This location does attract typical downtown kind of crowd with all the other stuff , which may not be family friendly. I would not suggest to leave anything valuable in car in their parking lotnnHaving said that , rooms are basic but nice . You have everything what you need . Refrigerator was in the washroom, which I found a bit odd. Rooms are quite though.nnStaff is super nice . They go out of way to make you feel comfortable.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, but the walls are very thin and there are two bars on either side of the hotel which can be clearly heard late into the night. During the week it may be alright, but on the weekend, sleeping before midnight is a challenge.
