I was looking for a cake for the Wifey's birthday. She's a fan of black sesame ice cream. So I figured I would get the sesame roll/log cake. I had to place the order a day in advance. The cake was definitely appealing and the taste was on the lighter/softer side. The person who served me was very polite and kind.
My favorite bakery shop in Aurora! Love their daily fresh baked goods & cakes ~ spoiled myself so many times with their various flavors & choices ~ Yum
This neighbourhood bakery has been my go-to spot for all my friends and family’s bdays and gatherings since they opened. Every time I serve cakes from lemo, I always get super positive feedback and everyone wants to know where it’s from. The cake is made w fresh cream and fresh ingredients with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s very well made w high quality ingredients. I see some negative reviews about customer service which is shocking to me. I’ve always received excellent customer service whether from WeChat or from the girl at the cashier. She is very sweet and kind, always helpful and very reasonable. Since this shop opened I stopped going to anywhere else for cakes. It’s the best. I have friends driving here all the way from Markham and Richmond hill after trying LeMo’s cakes.
I really love the taste of the purple yam taro cake roll - it tastes great and presents very well for guests. I also enjoy the milk toast and pumpkin bread.
Ordered a cake and some buns and they are absolutely delicious! The cake was filled with taro, chunks of taro, the cake was fluffy and soft and all together was not overly sweet at all. Didn’t taste any purple yam thou which was a little disappointing since that’s what we looked forward to the most. Got the durian ice bun to try, kept it in the fridge over night, bun was still relatively soft and stuffed full with durian cream. Salted egg pork floss bun, toasted a bit in the oven, still very soft and hot like fresh baked. Can’t wait to try the purple yam and taro buns next.
Their pastry and cake *taste* good and my family has been buying at this place for a while now. However, I must say, I’m disappointed ordering a birthday cake here. I ordered on their website and at the request form I asked to write “happy birthday”, but very disappointed with how it turned out. Look at the picture, they wrote the tiny lettering on the cardboard tray… smh. They could have done this many other more creative ways like use a piece of chocolate and write on there, but no, it has to be on the cardboard tray.
I love this bakery! Their breads are my favourites especially although it is on the more pricier side. Their cakes are also tasty too!
We use to constantly go to Le Mo bakery for ice bread. They always offered a deal on 6 breads with no tax but suddenly when my husband went in on Dec 18, 2022 he was told they no longer provide this. They said its now spend $25 for 5% off and they mentioned purchasing a membership, so we never returned since. What made me write this review is now I see that le mo are advertising again on Instagram that 6 buns is save the tax? Yikes... Guess it all depends on the cashiers mood on the day of your visit... stay away from here! Update: in response to the owners. My husband spoke in chinese with the cashier. It has nothing to do with English and we were in fact charged tax that day.
Convenient location, great little store with variety of bakery and cakes. Price is reasonable and food is delicious. Buns are individually packed. It seems like this place is just grand opening with only 4 customers allowed inside during pandemic. Usually line up so need to be prepared to wait outside for some times. Overall, highly recommend.
The sesame cake was sooooo good! So nice to have such wonderful bakery in Newmarket!!
