General Sushi

You can always get warm welcome at General Sushi. Fresh food great drinks. Love the staff and the atmosphere. Never too busy because it only seats about 40 people. I recommend a reservation on Friday nights tho.

My wife and I came here for the first time tonight. We had the All-you-can-eat dinner, which was reasonably priced for a Friday night The food tasted fresh. All of the Maki rolls were a good size and very tasty. My wife really liked the Mango/Crabmeat Roll. The sashimi was very fresh tasting. We will definitely come back.

I've been coming here for awhile now and it's one of my favorite places for all you can eat sushi friendly clean lots of parking and wheelchair accessible a very good selection, and quick on deliver they also do take out come one come all and try the sushi

Food was very fresh, miso soup is the best among japanese restaurants. Service was great!

Review has a 2 because the food was good. The service was terrible. We were treated terribly. I asked questions about the all you can eat menu and no answers. I provided our list and asked the server if it was enough or too much food. She ignored us and then started bringing the food. It was way too much and she could see us slowing down but didn't say a word. At the end she said we had to pay $8 for the leftover food. I said I had asked her, she should have answered our questions, etc. and all she said was she was busy. No smile, no acknowledgement of us and made us feel not welcome. Too bad. Will not go back. There are many places out there with good service and good food. Learn from it!

The girl/waitress was blunt and rude and gave us an indifferent attitude. Not like that they were busy. We were the only two people there and she just gave us a cold shoulder. We said thank you every time when she served us. Only 2-3 times out of 10 times would she acknowledge. Very poor dining experience. Food was ok and price was not the cheapest but that’s fine with us as we did not expect it to be cheap anyway. Don’t think we will be back. This is it! My two stars are for the food only, zero star for service.

The service was pretty good and the staff were attentive. All of the food we ordered came out, but somewhat slowly. The food was good but some of the sushi tasted a bit bland. The Maki rolls were pretty good, but depending on the rolls ordered took considerably more time to arrive than others.

Excellent sushi, and even better service. The staff is kind, friendly, and they greet you with a smile, unlike every other sushi place in Newmarket. My son says they have the best fried rice ever, and their dynamite rolls are dynamite indeed. Wish them tons of success!

Great friendly service, the staff seemed to enjoy taking care of customers which I find rare in all you can eat sushi joints. The rice tastes great and doesn't fall apart when you dip it in soy. i am a vegetarian and the staff was very helpful in navigating the menu with me. General Sushi is now my go to all you can eat sushi restaurant in Newmarket. I won't go anywhere else.

Love this place. Both the lunch boxes and the all you can eat are great. Only had one bad experience where fish sushi rolls were too fishy but gave it another chance and have been back many times since.
